Moonta Bay Home Near the Beach

Just a stroll to the end of our street and you're on the beach at beautiful Moonta Bay. Our house is a classic Australian beach house. Very neat and tidy, a bit quirky and perfect for family groups. Pretty garden at the front, lawn at back next to a covered outdoor entertaining area and another outdoor table greets you on the front deck. A perfect private place to sit for a cup of tea or a beer as you watch the world go by. Lots of space for the children to run about and adults to have me time. Sandy Patch for us started as a simple little Yorke Peninsular family get away. Our children now in their twenties were bubs when we first started coming to Moonta Bay. This house has seen a lot of fun times and love. Recently we have renovated, painted and installed a new kitchen and flooring as we prepared the four bedroom house to offer to other families and friends. Moonta Bay, a sleepy little beach side town is the perfect base for anyone keen on fishing. A short stroll (about 200 metres) to the end of the street you'll be on the beach and just along a bit the impressive Moonta Bay jetty with the netted swimming area anchored along side. The jetty is a popular place to throw in a line. There is plenty of space at the house to park a boat and attached to the rear sheds is a covered area with large sink (ex Hilton Hotel) to clean fish. The property is fenced and offers enough grassed area at the rear for children to run about, a game of french cricket perhaps and more. Also at the rear entrance is a expansive covered area with a large table for outside entertaining and so forth. At the front entry is a deck with build in table. We often sit there for morning coffees and evening drinks as we greet the people taking their end of day walks. The kitchen is fully equipped with good quality pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, glassware and platters etc.......everything in abundance. There is also a BBQ in a covered area at the rear. There is air conditioning and many fans, you'll be very comfortable. We use our mobile hot spots for WIFI. There's a good quality TV with DVD players and lots of DVDs. The living room flows from the kitchen, the space is quite large. There are plenty of chairs. We love our house and times in Moonta Bay, we hope you do too. Guests can access the entire house and carport. The rear sheds are locked. Whilst we won't be available in person, you are welcome to call us at anytime and our neighbor John will help you with anything that might need attention whilst you stay. This is a quite and sleepy little town, that's the charm of the place. Many of the neighbors are retirees, very nice country people. There's plenty of on street parking in addition to the carport and driveway. In nearby Moonta there are taxi's available and the Moonta pub offers a shuttle service in the evenings for people who've had one or more too many. All of the beds are of good quality. They all have pillows and bedcovers/doonas.... You will however need to bring your own linen and towels and general consumables. There is a small convenience store and a hotel at Moonta Bay and large supermarket plus everything else you might need available at Moonta.
