Double room in an 18th century maison de maître

A light and airy double room with private bathroom in a maison de maître built before the French Revolution, right in the heart of a quiet village in the beautiful Charente countryside. Only 3km from the town of Chalais, halfway between Cognac and Bordeaux. We have two rooms to let, one has a double bed and one has twin beds. Suitable for a family of four. Either can be booked independently. You have your own entrance and staircase to the rooms as well as your own bathroom. Breakfast is served in our dining room. We live in the house so will be around most of the time. We will also prepare your continental-style breakfast. There are lots of lovely walks round about the village, which has a bar/restaurant and there is a terrific restaurant in the next village (Bardenac) as well as several in Chalais, including the stunning Le Relais du Chateau. We're also only twenty minutes away from Aubeterre-Sur-Dronne, one of the most beautiful villages in France.
