Welcome to the Island House at Witt! Our fully remodeled home was gutted & rebuilt using new and reclaimed materials along with a generous amount of hard work, sweat & love. From the moment you enter the Island House, you will experience its warmth, charm and character. From the reclaimed barn wood beams to the open iron staircase you'll have the comforts of home while simultaneously enjoying modern amenities in an upscale and luxurious atmosphere. While not resembling an Island or beach home, we kept the ‘Island House’ name to honor the students and alumni from generations past who, for reasons not fully known, presented this charming home with its name and who visit today to remark “Oh yes, the Island House! I remember it fondly!” Parking: Enter through the alley beside the house from W. Cassilly Street. There are two parking spaces available beside the back yard fence. There is also on-street parking on W. Cassilly or North Fountain Avenue. Keyless Entry: Use the key code we sent for the back door lock to enter the home. The code will be the last 4 digits of the registered guest's phone number. You will have the entire home to yourself but we will be available if you need anything during your stay. Please be sure to register all guests on your reservation, as there is an additional cost for additional bedrooms and/or each guest over 2. Conveniently located in the heart of Wittenberg’s award winning “most beautiful campus” and just two blocks from downtown Springfield, it is the perfect place for families and alumni visiting campus or visitors to Springfield.
