This beautiful VINTAGE STYLED beach house is located on the outskirts of the city and is a stone throw away from the beach. You can take a stroll on the beach and hear the ocean rumble and experience a perfect weekend getaway to relieve your stress and enjoy the serene nature. THREE REASONS why the place is A MUST VISIT: 01. This homestay is one of the oldest houses in the area, giving you a sense of RECONNECTION with ANCIENT and SIMPLER times. If you are looking for a serene way of living, this homestay is definitely a must try and will rejuvenate your soul. 02. The homestay is a stroll away from the beach house. It features a bay WATCHTOWER, where you can enjoy the view of ARABIAN SEA and the sunset. For people who are found of various beach activities, this place is a must try. That being said, you can also choose to relax at the beach side with COCONUT WATER and a SUN TAN. 03. This homestay is quite suitable if you’re traveling with kids since it consists of a KIDS PLAY AREA. Therefore, if you are having a FAMILY VACATION, this is a perfect place for you to relax while the kids play around. THREE REASONS to have a look at prior to booking your stay: 01. The space is located by the beach obviously implying there shall be occasional winds. Winds could lead to INTERNET CONNECTIVITY ISSUES AT TIMES, more so towards the nights with high tides and heavy showers; 3G connectivity is usually available in the sit out. There shall be NO ISSUES with TELEPHONE CONNECTIVITY. Phone connectivity is available at every spot in the stay. 02. The stay is AWAY FROM THE CITY; hence it would be advisable to have a PRIVATE MEANS OF TRANSPORT. Travelers can choose a CAB service provider as well. 03. For meals guests shall have to ORDER FROM THE MENU of a restaurant in the vicinity. Delivery shall be done by the staff at the stay. A part of the course of meals shall be prepared at the stay, on prior requests. The villa symbolises ANTIQUE STYLE OF ARCHITECTURE with traditional styled building methods and structures being installed. The house is a perfect example of "GUTTHU MANE" - a vintage house with a ROOF MADE FROM RED CLAY TILES. The house is located right IN FRONT OF THE BEACH and has a small COCONUT PLANTATION beside it. All in all, the stay is a perfect combination of hues of blue, yellow, red and green to make one feel refreshed and relaxed. The exterior or overhanging part of the roof is supported by beautiful carved WOODEN PILLARS. The villa consists of 3 BEDROOMS, each with a standard DOUBLE BED. Each room can comfortably accommodate 2 GUESTS. An additional guest can perhaps be accommodated in a bedroom; this would drastically reduce the moving space in the bedroom. All bedrooms have a PRIVATE ATTACHED WASHROOM and PRIVATE DOORS with locks on them. One enters through the MAIN ENTRANCE of the villa into the LIVING SPACE or COMMON AREA of the villa. Guests usually use the space for CHAT TIMES or to have a community meal. The KITCHEN is next to the living space; guests who wish to use the kitchen have FREE KITCHEN ACCESS. Guests are served meals at the stay. ALL MEALS are ORDERED OFF A MENU of a neighbouring restaurant. The food shall be DELIVERED BY CARETAKERS. In scenarios with LARGER GROUPS, ALL MEALS are on a order basis. 2 BEDROOMS are accessible from the LIVING ROOM; the first bedroom is a STEP HIGHER than the floor at the living room. To get the next bedroom, one needs to climb A STEEP VINTAGE WOODEN STAIRS. This bedroom is more of an ATTIC/LOFT bedroom. The THIRD BEDROOM has OUTSIDE ACCESS from the villa - one needs to go around the villa to enter into this bedroom. Also, only 2 OUT OF 3 BEDROOMS have AIR CONDITIONERS installed in them. The stay has a HUGE SPREAD OUT LAWN for visitors to relax in. The kids also have a KIDS PLAY AREA along with an INFLATABLE POOL for them. The place is apt for a FAMILY VACATION or even a GROUP OUTING. The BEACH is almost a private beach; and guests have full access to it. SWIMMING in the sea water may prove to be DANGEROUS, if appropriate precautionary measures aren't taken. Even though I shall be not available in person at all times, as mentioned, we have a LOVELY COUPLE Mr Suresh and Mr Sudha as CARETAKERS who assist our guests with all their needs. Moreover, in case of issues we are always available ON PHONE. UDUPI also called Odipu in Tulu is a city in Karnataka, notably known for the Krishna Temple. It is also known ‘TEMPLE CITY’. The city being along the COASTAL BELT, experiences pleasant weather throughout the year with the temperatures soaring slightly high during the summers. The city witnesses HEAVY SHOWERS for 5 months throughout the year; resulting in lush greenery in many parts of the city. The stay is pretty close to UDUPI, situated in KAUP. Travelers can choose to visit places in and around Udupi. Some of the places are as follows. 01. TOWN OF UDUPI Guests who wish to look around can visit the TOWN of UDUPI, a town filled with TEMPLES and delicious SAVOURY OUTLETS. The Udupi Sri Krishna Temple is a highly frequented place by travelers. 02. MALPE Guests can also choose to visit Malpe; Malpe is a tiny town located by Udupi known for its ROADSIDE FOOD STALLS serving seafood. Malpe also boasts of a recently developed SEAWALK which extends to about a KILOMETRE into the sea. 03. ST. MARY'S ISLAND At a distance of 15 Kms from Udupi Railway Station, 65 Kms from Mangalore & 100 Kms from Murudeshwar, St. Mary's Island is a GROUP OF SMALL BEAUTIFUL ISLANDS to the north of Malpe Beach near Udupi. The island has two beautiful beaches and crystallized BASALT ROCK FORMATIONS. The unique rock formations scattered through out the island giving a special landscape to the place. The rock formations are one of rarely found in the world. EASTERN BEACH boasts of VIRGIN SANDS, WESTERN BEACH is entirely made of SEA SHELLS. This unspoiled island is a very beautiful place with white sands, coconut trees, blue waters & pleasant atmosphere. St. Mary's Island can be reached by 30 MINUTE BOAT RIDE from Malpe Beach which is about 10 Kms from Udupi. 04. MANIPAL A few kilometeres away from Udupi is MANIPAL, known for the famous educational institutions and also for the NIGHTLIFE. One also has a wide range of eateries available here from roadside stalls to BARISTAS and SUBWAYS. 05. KAUP Kaup is known for three MARIGUDI TEMPLES and a LIGHTHOUSE attracting a large crowd of pilgrims and tourists. It is also known for a FORT built by TIPU SULTAN. At a distance of 16 Kms from Udupi Railway Station, Kaup Beach is a beautiful beach situated close to NH17 between Udupi & Mangalore. The light house situated on a hillock at the northern end of the beach is a beautiful sight to watch. 06. SRI KRISHNA TEMPLE At a distance of 3 Kms from Udupi Railway Station, Udupi Sri Krishna Temple is one of the FAMOUS PILGRIMAGE CENTRES in South India. The Krishna temple was founded by the Vaishnavite saint Shri Madhvacharya in the 13th century. This temple has a fascinating IDOL OF LORD KRISHNA that is richly adorned with jewels & a famous golden chariot. The unique feature of this temple is that the Lord is WORSHIPPED only through a WINDOW WITH NINE HOLES called the NAVAGRAHA KITIKI. The daily sevas and administration of the Mutt are managed by the Ashta Mathas. 07. PILGRIMAGE At a distance of 25 Kms from Udupi, 86 Kms from Mangalore & 70 Kms from Murudeswar, ANEGUDDE VINAYAKA TEMPLE is located in Kumbhashi between Udupi & karwar (about 9 Kms from Kundapur). The main sanctum sanctorum contains the majestic figure of VINAYAKA WITH SILVER ARMOUR, in standing posture. Tulabharam, a custom of offering to God valuables in weight equivalent of a person is frequently done in this temple by devotees. 08. MARVANTHE BEACH At a distance of 48 Kms from Murudeshwar & 52 Kms from Udupi, Maravanthe is the place separated by Arabian Sea on one side and Souparnika River on the other. The Maravanthe Beach is a beautiful sight on the NH17 towards Udupi. With a mountainous BACKDROP OF KODACHADRI HILLS this is a picturesque virgin beach not unspoiled by tourists. The beach is also WELL LIT up at NIGHT and the street lights reflect in the waters, making an attractive display. The water at Maravanthe beach is safe for swimming. AIRPORT: The stay is 48 kms away from the MANGALORE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (1 hour of travel). RAILWAYS: The UDUPI RAILWAY STATION is 20.9 kms away (30 minutes of travel) BUS STATION: The UDUPI BUS STATION, at a distance of 17 kms (30 minutes of travel) is the closest inter city and inter state bus stand. Distance from the KAUP BUS STATION is about 3.4 kms, which is a stop for local buses. Travelers can choose to have their PRIVATE MEANS OF TRANSPORT or HIRE CAB SERVICES. We shall be able to provide you with the contact details of our service providers in MANGALORE AND UDUPI. We have ample amount of FREE SPACE FOR PARKING. A PRIVATE means of TRANSPORT shall be ideal since the stay is located about a KILOMETRE or so of the HIGHWAY. The stays are located in a CALM & SERENE environment. Hence, LOUD MUSIC & NOISES are strictly PROHIBITED. Guests choosing to consume HOT BEVERAGES are requested to do so responsibly. Guests are free to carry their OWN CHOICE OF BEVERAGES. Beverages can be also be ORDERED at the stay among the available choices. The same shall be delivered by the caretakers. For all MEALS, guests can ORDER OF THE MENU of a neighbouring restaurant. All other meals shall be CHARGED ON ACTUALS. Appropriate additional DELIVERY CHARGES shall please be applicable. Rooms are provided based on the number of guests. ADDITIONAL GUESTS in a room shall be accommodated at a nominal fee of Rs. 1500 each for a night. A maximum of 1 additional guests is permitted in each room.
