Viking Cottage, Loch Long

Viking Cottage is a cosy, attractive home on the Main Street of Arrochar. With spectacular views from the two tiered deck of Loch Long and the Cobbler it is an ideal base to explore Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Charming loch side cottage on the Main Street of Arrochar. Less than 5 minutes from Loch Lomond, it is the perfect base for those wishing to explore The Trossachs or for those looking to relax with a view! With 2 spacious double bedrooms and 1 twin room the house is perfect for a group of friends or a family to have a comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings. Fully equipped kitchen with a Nespresso machine, a small supply of coffee pods will be left for you to enjoy. (Regular sized pods) The house has 1 bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Please note that the bath is quite high and could be difficult for some to climb in to. The house and outdoor decking area are fully accessible to guests. Available to pop by the house when need be Arrochar is a small village with several pubs that are within walking distance, village shop, post office and petrol station. The house is a great base for those wishing to explore the west of Scotland. With exceptional walking, climbing, mountain biking, horse riding, fishing, sailing and with the city of Glasgow only 45 minutes away by car, there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy! From Arrochar there are several places nearby worth exploring by car. For example; Loch Lomond - 5 mins Luss - 15 mins Loch Fyne - 20 mins Inveraray - 25 mins Helensburgh - 25 mins Glasgow - 45 mins Oban - 1 hour Edinburgh - 1 hour 50 mins Arrochar is a small village with a few pubs that are within walking distance, village shop, post office and petrol station. As the house is set just off the main road it can be busy/noisy during the day with traffic. We do not have dedicated parking and free, on-street parking can’t be guaranteed however there is a metered car park at the head of the Loch, a 5 minute walk from the house.
