The Stables : Detached Cottage With Private Garden

'The Stables' is a lovely two person retreat, tucked away in the centre of St Austell. Close to simply every amenity, yet completely private and secluded. The cottage has been recently renovated, creating the perfect comfortable and cosy retreat. Outside, you can enjoy the property’s private and enclosed sunny garden, complete with dining furniture and a BBQ for your use. A short drive from many beaches and attractions, this is a great base for exploring all that Cornwall has to offer. Ground Floor: Living area: Enter through the patio doors into the open plan living / dining area, with comfortable sofa, TV and dining set for two people. Kitchen area: With electric oven, electric hob, fridge, toaster and microwave. There is a cupboard under the stairs, which houses cleaning supplies and the washer-dryer. Shower room: With shower, toilet and sink. First Floor: Bedroom: Mezzanine bedroom, with comfortable double bed, bedside tables and ample build in storage. Outside: Enclosed and private courtyard garden, which is dog-friendly. The garden boasts a generous paved area with solid Teak dining furniture, a parasol and a charcoal BBQ. There are steps leading to an artificial lawn. Bus and Train Service The bus and train station are a 7 minute walk from The Stables: Station Approach, High Cross Street, St Austell PL25 4LA There is a bus service to Heligan, Pentewan, Charlestown and St Austell to mention a few places. The bus times do change so it is a good idea to check online for the latest timetable. We recommend if you are thinking of a visit to the lovely St Ives, for example, you take the journey by train as traffic can be hectic during the Summer months. Please check online for the latest train timetables. The Eden Project, Heligan Gardens, several beautiful beaches, the historic port of Charlestown and the traditional fishing village of Mevagissey are all within a short drive. The property is two minutes’ walk from the centre of St Austell. A market town with many amenities, including independent shops, cafes and restaurants. This simply is the best location you will find for peace, fun and proximity to everything. Driving Times to Local Attractions: Several beaches (including dog-friendly beaches) – 5-10 minutes. Three golf courses – 10 minutes. The Eden Project – 10 minutes. The Lost Gardens of Heligan – 15 minutes Mevagissey Harbour – 9 minutes Charlestown Harbour – 8 minutes Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum – 6 Minutes Newquay Airport is a 25 minute drive and St Austell Train Station is just a 10 minute walk from the property. The property has an allocated parking space. There is a dedicated parking space at The Stables and room for additional vehicles on request. Please just let us know if you are bringing more than one car. The train and bus station is a short walk from The Stables, so the cottage is great if you would prefer to explore Cornwall by public transport. You can also walk from The Stables to several beaches and the historic port of Charlestown. We allow up to two dogs to stay at The Stables. Please respect the visitors who come to The Stables and do not have dogs by not allowing your dogs on the sofa or bed. Dogs should not be left alone in the property. Please pick up after your dog in the courtyard and out and about. You’ll find many lovely dog-friendly places locally, including pubs, restaurants, beaches and gardens.
