Cozy stone house in countryside of St Gervais, 25 km to Bordeaux. Serene location & wonderful view out onto garden grounds. Close to renowned vineyards, Bordeaux, St Emilion, Blaye, and Atlantic Ocean beaches. Perfect for holidays or business trips. 6 minutes to A10 junction for travelers in transit. Formerly the stable to the main house, this is now a charming and quiet home surrounded by a large 5-acre garden grounds. The house, 115m2, has one bedroom with a double bed, plus a living room that can serve as a bedroom as it contains one double sofa bed and an extra single bed. There is a lovely and spacious property view from the bedroom but we invite you to take a leisurely stroll. Depending on the season, you will find plums, cherries, hazelnuts, walnuts, persimmons as well as colorful bursts of flowers and shrubs. Funny daffodils, cheery tulips, blazing forsythias, fragrant lilacs and roses will keep you enchanted. Guests have the entire home to themselves, and have plenty of privacy. The area is residential and very quiet. Freshly baked croissants in the village are a stroll away. A large commercial center is 6 minutes away by car. Our house is separated from the guests' house by a large courtyard. We live in our home permanently and can be easily reached by our guests. We are there for you for questions, inquiries, suggestions, any topic to converse about! Walking distance to the pharmacy, post office and bureau du tabac. Many grocery stores within 3-8 minutes. Bordeaux is a 25 minute drive away (depends on traffic conditions), St. Emilion is 35 minutes away, and the white sand Lacanau & Arcachon beaches are 45 minutes away. Wine country is in every direction. A personal vehicle is the most convenient means for getting around. The nearest train station is in the next town, Saint-Andre-de-Cubzac (5 km away). There are a few regional buses that also stop within Saint Gervais itself (access to Bordeaux, Blaye, Libourne). Merignac Airport is 35 km away. There is plenty of private parking space. We are 5 minutes to the A10 highway allowing easy access to Paris or Spain. North or south, if you are commuting to another destination, this is a very practical layover. The Pont d'Aquitaine is about 10 minutes away and then you are in Bordeaux. The Bordeaux Lac Convention and Exhibition Center where the Vinexpo is held, is just after the foot of the Pont d'Aquitaine. St Gervais also give easy access to Bourg-sur-Gironde, Blaye, St Emilion, and other points of interest.
