Island View is a haven for stressed out workers and weary travellers. The spacious home accommodates up to 6 guests (extra charge for more than 2 guests). It's a quality 'home away from home' offering simplicity & contemporary coziness. You will be able to enjoy white beaches, turquoise water, bush walks, log fires, quality bedding, organic kitchen produce, darkness and silence apart from frog sounds and bird chattering ... Island View is a modern spacious home with an open kitchen, dining, lounge area, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a large viewing deck for relaxing and BBQs. The kitchen and modern pantry are fully equipped including a quality dishwasher, large fridge/freezer with ice machine and various coffee/tea making options. The laundry has a quality washing machine and a clothes dryer. There are also undercover drying areas outside. A Plasma TV in the lounge area has satellite connection. The three spacious bedrooms can sleep 6 people and the lounge room has a large couch which can also sleep two people comfortably. A baby cot and high chair are stored in the hall room store space (orange door) together with a massage table, beach sun shelter, bodyboard, wetsuit, wet and cold weather gear, back pack, some fishing gear. Next to the car port is a parking space for an extra car, boat, trailer etc. Guests are welcome to pick from the herb, vegetable and fruit in the garden and enjoy the outside shower (sorry no hot water here) after a swim at the beach. The loft above the kitchen is out of bounds for safety reasons. The two bathrooms are spacious and bright with open showers and one free standing bath. Due to the recent world health crisis more attention is given to disinfecting high risk surfaces including soft furnishings. The space under the house and the loft are not accessible to the guests for safety reasons. Right from the door step there are lots of beautiful short and longer walks along spectacular beaches, through peaceful forests, bush land and sand dunes, which is all part of the surrounding Thorndirrup National Park. Goode Beach is a very quiet safe beach side community. Relationships with all neighbours is very friendly and personal and I would like my guests to respect and honour this. The closest shop is the Little Grove Petrol Station, which also has a bottle shop. City restaurants, eateries, coffee shops and pubs are within 20 minute distance by car. On Friday nights the Whale Museum Bistro Style Eatery (5 minute drive or 25 minute walk along the beach from the house) is open for fish, chip and seafood. Several major tourist destinations like The Wind Farm, The Gap, The Blowholes, The Natural Bridge or Discovery Bay with its historic Whale Station Museum and the Australian Wild Life Park are all only a 5 - 10 minute drive away. Lesser known, but special attractions are in close proximity by car or on foot such as Misery Beach, Stony Hill (360 degree view of coast line, islands and harbor), Whale Cove (small beach - snorkeling) , Point Possession walk (entrance to harbor with town view), Sharp Point (spectacular coastal lookout). Whale activities can sometimes be observed in King Gorge Sound from the house deck and/or beaches. The water is usually crystal clear; ideal for snorkeling as well as paddle boarding or body surfing. Goode Beach corner and Frenchman Bay are quite shallow and save for children to play in or near water on calm days. Frenchman Bay has a pretty grassed area with free gas BBQs. When the easterly summer winds blow conditions are ideal for kite surfing. There is no public transport in Goode Beach. Wi-Fi is provided via mobile broadband
