Antiparos - Soros Beach Villa next to the sea

Cycladic house set in a large garden, extending to a beautiful swimming beach, over a small dirt road. One of only 4 houses on Soros beach On south end of small Antiparos island. Friendly, spacious house where we have spent many summer holidays with children and grandchildren. Lots of quiet, separate places in house/garden to relax or play. Garden is filled with oleander, bougainvillea, fig (ripe August)and apricot trees, tall palms and wild bushes and shrubs. Traditional taverna 100m away. Master double bedroom on first floor with en-suite has large shaded balcony with magnificent view over the garden to the sea and neighbouring islands. A side balcony is an evening sun trap . Stairs lead down to a modern kitchen and through a stone arch to the sitting room and the wide sea-facing terrace beyond . There is a second double bedroom with en-suite off the sitting room and a corridor leads down a few steps to two smaller bedrooms one with two single beds , the other with a single bed and a bunk bed. They share a separate shower room which is along the corridor . They also have their own secluded terrace facing the garden. A third double bedroom with small ante room and an en-suite runs along the side of the house and is reached from the main terrace via its own small terrace. Please note there are no baths only showers as water is expensive. The focus of the house is the large terrace facing the garden and the sea . Half of it is shaded under a bamboo pergola . At the shaded end is a beautiful white marble oval dinning able which seats 10 or so . In the open part an L-shaped stone bench seat with round marble table is perfect for evening drinks when the sun is setting over the hills behind the house . There are hammocks under trees in the garden. A path lead from the terrace to the garden gate and the beach beyond . There are several other beaches within easy walking distance. Our cleaner will come mid-week, and is available for more days if requested. She can also cook if requested. All of it Depending on time of year we will be available staying nearby or local friend will host you Villa set on the beachfront of well known Soros bay with about 35 scattered houses in the hills behind . Great for swimming or walks. House is in a large garden and is not overlooked. Two tavernas in the bay - one about 200m along the beach the other 100m behind the house, which also offers take aways . Buses to/from the only village on the island 3-4 times a day . Traditional Cycladic fishing village is 8kms away and has great restaurants, bars shops and 2 small supermarkets . Car is advisable and can be rented on the island. Hiring a car is adviseable and can be done in Antiparos harbour or Paros. All rental agencies will deliver and collect cars from Paros airport if arriving by car at no extra cost
