This beautiful medina has a lot of little shops where they offer you all kind of objects in thuya etc. The ancient wall are under the protection of the l'UNESCO. There is also an art galerie "La Galerie Damgaard" where local painters expose their works. Between Essaouira and Sidi Kaouki you have the domain of the Sofitel with the golfcourse. (18 holes) "Golf Mogador". You can take a bus to go to Essaouira, time +/- 45min. very cheap. The cabs are available (the big (ask for the price before) at the beach. The small cabs are available as from El Jaddida to Essaouira) The water is not decent . You can buy it everywhere. You can use it the make your coffee or tea.
