Short distance to Chestnut Hill College, IAHP, Lutheran Theological Seminary, Morris Arboretum & Germantown Jewish Centre. Short walk to BOTH the Chestnut Hill West & Chestnut Hill East rail lines to get downtown without traffic hassles! My place is perfect for people who want to get downtown easily but enjoy the laid back community of Mt. Airy. Guests have access to an entire 2 bedroom apartment. My family loves to stay in vacation villas and I strive to provide the same amenities we’ve come to expect and then some! There is a king sized bed with memory foam mattress in the master bedroom. The 2nd bedroom has a daybed with trundle that can be also be converted to a king sized bed. The living room has a sofabed with a Queen memory foam mattress. You’ll love my place because it is completely renovated, has what you need for a comfortable short or long stay, and is clean as the board of health! Whip up a meal in the fully equipped kitchen and have sweet dreams in the comfy beds. The unit is accessible by lockbox so arrive whenever it is convenient for you after your check in time. You have access to any amenities inside the unit. I work on the first floor but am typically quite busy during the day. I have a very helpful staff in my office and they can answer any questions during the day. I live within walking distance and am able to help solve any problems that arise. When I’m out of town, a network of friends is on standby to help out. Mount Airy is one of America’s favorite neighborhoods. The apartment is close to Chestnut Hill, halfway between the Chestnut Hill East and Chestnut Hill West regional rail lines (10 minute walk to each). It’s super easy & safe getting downtown without having to deal with traffic or center city parking. Wawa, the area’s favorite 24 hour convenience store is a 3 minute walk away, just across the street from the Lutheran Theological Seminary. A full service grocery store (Acme), newly renovated Lovett Memorial Library & Mt. Airy Playground are minutes away on foot. A longer walk or short drive will get you to Weavers Way Coop (2 nearby locations), Morris Arboretum, Sugarloaf & the main campus of Chestnut Hill College. Also nearby is the Institute for the Advancement of Human Potential. Lots of cool restaurants line Germantown Ave. A coffee shop (Tata Cafe) is just across the street, but quite honestly, my favorite coffee shop is Highpoint Cafe at the Allen's Lane train station. Try the chai latte & tell them Safiyya sent you! Summer is when the area really shines as various outdoor festivals are held on Germantown Ave, topped off by the ever-growing Harry Potter festival in October. You can bring your car, but you don’t need to. The location is very accessible to the 23, & H buses. Traveling by regional rail is especially convenient. The Chestnut Hill East & West lines go right downtown (but my favorite coffee shop is at the CH West Allen’s Lane station on Cresheim Road). Get off at: -Jefferson Station (Market East) for the Convention Center, Chinatown, Reading Terminal, Liberty Bell & Constitution Center. Greyhound & Chinese buses are also here. -30th Street for Amtrak & other rail transportation. -Suburban Station for City Hall, Ben Franklin Parkway and many popular restaurants -You can transfer anywhere downtown (30th, Suburban, or Market East/Jefferson Stations) to the Airport Line. There is ample street parking, both free and metered on adjacent streets. Street parking is free after 6pm and all day Sunday. There is a free lot behind the building accessible from Chew Ave but please do not park in either of the two smaller lots immediately adjacent to the building.
