The Lodge offers rustic styling that marries it to its beautiful location. Filled with creature comforts and a touch of luxury from the handmade bed, huge media wall, and high-speed wifi. The children's play area is set in 3 acres of gardens nestled within the 132 acre Suffolk Wildlife Park with a great pub at the end of a 25min walk. Deer, rare birds and squirrels from your window. There is a secure outdoor fenced seating area straight off your door beyond which is a play area and lawns. The property is a single story wooden lodge located at the entrance to Grove Farm. The farm is recorded in the doomsday book and is the largest farm in the hamlet of Great Green. The cat is called Harley and his brother is Leo, they often come to say hello to guests, if you would like them to stay or go they are happy. The parking is right at the door of The Lodge. Bury St Edmunds is only 10mins drive away, the railway line is a 5 min drive and offers hourly trains to Bury and Cambridge or Ipswich. The local Co-Op, cafes and take-out food shops are also located at the train station. Suffolk Wildlife Park was gifted 132 acres from a past owner of Grove Farm to protect the future beauty of the surroundings. This is now home to The Lodge at Gingell Cottage. The local train line takes you to Ipswich or Cambridge which offer two lines straight into London. The car is a prefered mode of transport but Gingell Cottage and The Lodge are both on the very popular cycle route 54. Bury St Edmunds has fabulous days out including ghost trips, historic cathedral tours and fashionable shopping. The largest town in the UK is a delightful jewel and only 30mins from Cambridge with the universities, punting and city life. London is just 60miles away too! Go Ape in Thetford Forest is within 30mins drive and Ixworth House is also only 20mins away. So much of sunny Suffolk to explore on the doorstep. Although Gingell Cottage is rural it is only 10mins to anyone of Waitrose, Tesco, Asda or Sainsburys or 5 mins from a cashpoint and newly opened Co-Op. The beach is just 30mins away at Felixstowe too!
