Cozy Quarters: Private Room on Cottage Farm
NOTE: Only vaccinated people please. My place is close to Sugarloaf Mountain, a winery, outlet mall, C&O Canal, biking, hiking, kayaking, 40 miles to Washington, DC, an hour to Baltimore, 15 minutes to Frederick. You’ll love my place because I have a very peaceful setting. Cozy accommodations. Visit the sheep and chickens and my wonderful yellow lab, Trapper. Note: this room is not for long term. Just weekly, not monthly. I do allow some dogs but they CANNOT get on furniture or the bed. Cozy Quarters: Spend the night on this charming small farm. Beautiful view of the sheep field and Sugarloaf Mountain. One twin bed. Full (shared) bath near room. Visit the sheep and chickens. Use of microwave, toaster and fridge in nearby kitchen but no cooking please. Price is for one room only, 1 person in room. I do have another listing (Garden Room) if you have additional people that would like to book (separate listing on Airbnb). Dog =$10 extra (collected upon arrival). I am dog friendly as I have a labrador, but only one dog and no dogs on furniture or bed please. No cats. Since I am only 4 miles from the C&O Canal, I offer a bike shuttle from and to the Canal for $10 each way (when convenient). I also offer breakfast ($10) for an additional fee. But you must let me know at least 2 days ahead of time if you would like a shuttle or meals as I have to plan ahead. Grub Hub delivers to my home with many different foods to choose from. This room is not really set up for long term stays (like a month) as it is just off the dining room. It does have its own entrance. Please contact me for a longer stay than one week. It depends on what is going on at certain times of the year if it is available for longer. Rules: No parties or overnight guests. No smoking anywhere on property without permission. Full bathroom, outdoor patio, deck. I like to be here to greet you and show you the room. After that it is up to you how much interaction you want. I can answer questions about dining and outdoor activities. My home is located in the Agricultural Reserve in Maryland, a land use and open space area with beautiful views of fields and farms. It's very peaceful and quiet. I'm only 2 miles from Sugarloaf Mountain which has great hiking trails. The C&O Canal is 3 miles away for biking, hiking and kayaking. A winery is just 3 miles away. The Marc train is located just 1/4 mile from me and is available during the weekdays for getting into Washington, DC. Last train leaves here around 8 a.m. NOTE: Only vaccinated people please. Take a weekend getaway to the countryside! Idea. . .hop on your bike in Georgetown at the beginning of the C&O Canal. Bike 42 miles to the Mouth of Monocacy Bridge. I will pick you up along with your bike, transport you 3 miles to my home/farm, feed you breakfast (additional fees) then take you back to the C&O where you can leisurely bike back to Georgetown or continue on up the trail. You can order dinner from Grub Hub. Fun!!! I have a yarn studio on the property with items for sale including my hand dyed yarn, fiber and warm wooly blankets made from my very own sheep.
