The Eagles Nest:Chalet - Entire Private Top Floor

THE HOUSE WAS RESPITE FOR MEMBERS OF THE EAGLES, they could get away and so can you. Spectacular views, located in the historic city of The Dalles.. The top floor is yours, with a private bath w/tub and hand shower, and a great room with a view. Great Staycation space Top floor with large "Great" room has breathtaking views and large master bedroom ensuite/queen bed with deck off the master bedroom. Rustic elegance: Private, Quiet, Peaceful, Welcoming and still close to everything in The Gorge: Oregon and Washington sides of the Columbia River. First floor: large deck, grill, kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom. All outdoor spaces: rustling pond, outdoor fire pit and several seating areas. The second floor is your private space: includes Great room with views of the Columbia river, Mount Adams: great bird watching just to start. So much much to do: wine tasting, museums, old town shopping, many events and "nothing" in a large comfortable space with a great view. Additionally, there is a Neon museum, the oldest bookstore in Oregon, a vintage theater, art classes of all sort: glass making, beginning drawing, and Childrens classes. Walk/bike along the Columbia River, music and a farmers market on Saturdays in the summer. Sunrise and sunset....well bring your camera. House is on a small street with only 4 houses on it. Our place is at the end on a hill, so especially quiet. The community is very friendly/kind actually. We are close to a park a mile up the mountain. There are always great activities in town and there is so much to see, learn about in this historic little town. Public transportation is limited, designated parking space on property. I am happy to give you lifts into town or wherever you need to go. I hope you love this house as much as I do! I bought the house over a year ago. The house was a rental so I have worked to make it a warm and welcoming places for everyone. I have projects in the yard and a couple of rooms I am painting but it will not effect your love of The Nest.
