Private granny flat with all facilities needed for comfortable living incl. built-in wardrobe, queen size bed, self-contained kitchen, bathroom & laundry. Set behind main house and a few minutes walk to many cafes, restaurants, a lovely park and Bay. This self-contained granny flat is located behind the owner’s main house with side access to the property. With an open plan structure, the space has been separated into a bedroom area with a queen-size bed, bedside draws, a spacious built-in wardrobe and desk; cosy lounge area with digital flat screen TV and DVD facilities; and a dining area with a dining table and chairs. A separate bathroom, shower and laundry area is also available equipped with a washing machine, wash sink, iron and ironing board. Laundry powder and dish-washing liquid are provided, along with towels and a hair dryer in the bathroom. There is also plenty of storage space for your own items as well. The kitchen holds all the facilities required for comfortable living including a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, stove and oven, kettle, cutlery, crockery etc. Although we do not provide breakfast, we will leave you coffee, tea, sugar and milk to get you started! You can also feel free to enjoy the backyard and outdoor setting table and chair facilities. We have a lovely garden as well. My family and I live in the main house and therefore are happy and available to answer any questions you may have and/or provide advice as to travelling and sightseeing options. Located in a lovely, friendly neighbourhood and in close proximity to many cafes and restaurants, this granny flat can feel like home away from home! It is also only a few minutes walk from a beautiful Bay and park located just down the road. For more active guests, it is only a short drive to the popular Bay Walk (which is a 7km track around the shores of the Iron Cove Bay and is one of the most popular harbourside tracks in Sydney). It is also a short walk away from the main road where most shops are located including a supermarket, a number of cafes, restaurants, bakeries, deli's, and butchers. There are also a number of banks, chemists, hairdressers, nail salons and massage parlours. There is easy access to public bus transport which can take you anywhere including Sydney CBD. In addition, the closest ferry station is a short drive away and is a great idea for those who wish to travel while feeling the wind in their hair. For those with cars, there is ample street parking in front of and near the property. The whole granny flat is available for guests to enjoy, accessible using a private entrance (allowing guests to come and go as they please). In addition to the indoor space within the granny flat, guests also have access to our lovely backyard where they can sit and enjoy the garden. We are happy to be as helpful or as discreet as you require. We want you to be able to relax and enjoy your stay in whatever way you like! We love meeting new people and will warmly welcome you but will respect the level of privacy you need to be comfortable during your stay. My family and I live in the main house and therefore are happy and available to answer any questions you may have and/or provide advice as to travelling and sightseeing options. Five Dock is a beautiful, safe and friendly community with many local parks and bays. Within a 7-8 minute walk from the granny flat is a main road where a variety of cafes, restaurants, bakeries, deli’s and shops can be found including a supermarket and local library. There is also a great selection of services including major banks, hairdressers, nail salons and massage parlors. In addition, the granny flat is only a few minutes walk from a beautiful Bay and park located just down the road. For more active guests, it is only a short drive to the popular Bay Walk (which is a 7km track around the shores of the Iron Cove Bay and is one of the most popular harbourside tracks in Sydney). It is a 5 minute walk to a bus stop which can take you anywhere including Sydney CBD (which would approximately take 35-45 minutes, depending on the time of day). It is a 5 minute drive to the closest ferry station which can also take you to a number of locations including Circular Quay within 30 minutes. For those with cars, there is street parking in front of the house, and the time taken to drive to the city would be 20-25 minutes. Free WiFi is available for guests. A house manual will also be provided upon arrival.
