Private room with stunning views and gardens
A stylish private room (king size or twin beds) on the top floor of a beautiful period home set in a large mature garden and overlooking the beach and historic Llansteffan Castle. Situated in the charming seaside village of Ferryside, just a five minute walk from the train station, the local shop, café and pubs and a stone’s throw from the beach. Also an ideal base for exploring local attractions – (castles, beaches, gardens, walks) - or simply for relaxing in a peaceful and inspirational place. Brondeg is an imposing and much cherished three storey period home situated on the cliff in Ferryside overlooking the ever changing panorama of the River Towy estuary. The top floor of the house is reserved for our guests and is completely private with exclusive use of bedroom and bathroom. Guests are also encouraged to enjoy our beautiful grounds, perhaps admiring the stunning views on the terrace or maybe enjoying breakfast alfresco by the pond in our secret garden, which adjoins the dining room. The bedroom has a luxurious king size bed (twin beds are available in the adjacent room if preferred) and ample wardrobe and drawer space. Tea and coffee facilities are available and there is also a wash basin in the room complete with toiletries for your use. For when not admiring the amazing view from the window seat there is a freeview television and fast BT Infinity 1 broadband as well as a range of board games. The adjacent bathroom features luxurious gold fittings, including a large shower, wash basin and WC. An iron and ironing board can be provided in this room if needed. The breakfast room is on the ground floor and we offer a delicious and nutritious continental breakfast in lovely surroundings. The village of Ferryside is around 5 minutes away from the local town of Kidwelly and 15 minutes away from the market town of Carmarthen, which has larger stores, pubs and restaurants. Ferryside is a busy little village with its own village shop, post office, pub, café and railway station, which has direct trains to London, Manchester and Cardiff. There is also an exciting new ferry service over to the attractive village of Llansteffan. This operates from the beach, weather, tides and pandemic permitting. There are so many places to explore nearby: Kidwelly, with its Norman castle, Pembrey Country Park and Motorsport centre, the National Botanic Garden of Wales, Dylan Thomas’ Laugharne, Ffos Las Racecourse and Llanelli Wetland Centre to name but a few.
