Programme includes studio facilities or simply overnight accommodation, with access to sea viewing deck, Kinghorn beach Substantial Project Space in unique open plan studio and residency space, available to those practicing artists, architects, writers and designers working in any contemporary idiom. Mentoring support is on hand for young artists plus dialogue and involvement with a range of professionals associated with Sea Loft and its projects. This includes discourse with anthropologists, scientists, researchers, curators and gallery directors. Engagement with artists from at home and abroad adds further value to atmosphere. International opportunities also available to studio artists & residents. The small town of Kinghorn lies on the beautiful Fife coast with tranquil beaches and beautiful coastal and inland walks. And Sea Loft studio boasts stunning sea views. The nearby town of Kirkcaldy has all the usual facilities and supermarkets while Edinburgh boasts an exceptional choice of restaurants and nighttime hotspots. The East Neuk of Fife is famous for its unique fishing villages and superb seafood. The studio is 35 minutes from the centre of Edinburgh or Dundee by train & 40 minutes by car. There is also a regular bus service and local taxis are also available Trains run every half hour to Edinburgh city centre, making Sea Loft an ideal base for cultural visits
