A clean modern room in a 4 bed detached house free of clutter to help guests relax. Located in a quiet private cul-de-sac. No pets, carpets or curtains for allergy sufferers. The room has its own private ensuite bathroom (with shower), double bed, wardrobe with hangers & shelves, desk, comfy chair, full length mirror, bedside lights, wifi. Full use of the shared kitchen and lounge. Excellent transport links by road, rail and bus, easy parking. Several shops, takeaways & restaurants nearby. The room is in a new build house that is quiet and uncluttered for a minimalist unfussy feel, with oak flooring and white walls. It has its own ensuite with shower, toilet and small sink. The room has a supportive double bed, comfy chair, wardrobe with coat hangers and shelves for clothes, full length mirror, bedside lights on either side, bedside table, unlimited wifi, a desk, space for suitcases and a hook for coats or bathrobes. It is north facing so cool in summer and double glazed, well insulated with adjustable central heating radiator for the winter. There is a shared kitchen with a table, TV, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, electric oven, gas hob, kettle, patio doors to outside decking and rear garden. There is cupboard space for your own food, there are several shops nearby. The shared lounge has two sofas, a TV, quality music system, books on subjects such as art, photography, design, travel, local interest, psychology, architecture, science. No food or drink in the lounge please, you can take it to your room though. You're welcome to use the family bathroom as well as the ensuite in your room, it's equipped with a bath, shower, toilet and sink. There is also a downstairs toilet and sink. Cars are parked on the street (Tenth Avenue) which always has lots of spaces and is in a safe neighbourhood. There is a table outside on the decking, if you're a smoker then you can sit and smoke there. I am normally within 15 minutes drive of the house and I'm there to tidy and check everything is ok on a regular basis but I'm not there 24 hours. I am generally quick to respond to any queries over airbnb messaging and can normally come over for any emergencies. The house is in a cul-de-sac in a quiet residential area. There are several shops and takeaways nearby. Excellent transport links by road, rail and bus, plenty of car parking. Close to local park with cheap swimming pool and sports centre. Lots of shops, takeaways and restaurants nearby. 9 minutes walk to MOD and Filton Abbey Wood train station. 10 minutes walk to Airbus. 3 minutes walk from the nearest bus stop with regular direct buses into the city (every 10 minutes during the day), to UWE, the MOD etc. Less than 5 minute walk to Spar, newsagents, takeaways, restaurants, local shops. 10 minute walk to Home Bargains, Farm Foods, Library, Dominos Pizza. 15 minute walk to a large Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco Express, Next Clearance, Matalan, Poundland, B&M bargains, MacDonalds. 20 minute walk to UWE, Southmead hospital All local walking is on reasonably level ground as it's a flat area. The room is in a detached house that I like to keep as clean as possible. In choosing this house I used sound measuring equipment to try and find the quietest place in the city and this was the best I found. I did a lot of research on beds and mattresses to try and ensure the best night's sleep so there is a locally handmade solid wood double bed and a new pocket spring mattress with a luxury down mattress topper. For those that require a very firm bed the mattress can be used without the down topper. There is a choice of down or polyester monofibre pillows depending on your preference. The flooring is oak so reducing dust and mites that are found in carpets. Similarly there are blackout blinds instead of curtains. Early or late checkin is fine on most days, just check with me first. LGBT friendly, everyone of any race or gender is equally welcome here. For the safety of other guests please make sure you are fully vaccinated before arriving. As your host I have had 3 vaccinations against Covid.
