Being the only Gite on the property, guests have exclusive use of the grounds surrounding Les Pignons which include swimming pool, a gym, lake, 9 hole golf course, bar with pool table, table tennis, darts and table football and six acres of beautiful gardens set within the vineyards and sunflower fields of SW France. Outdoor dining including gas bbq, fire pit and pizza oven all available. People from all backgrounds welcome. As a converted tobacco drying barn, Les Pignons offers an open plan two bedroom accommodation with a woodburner for cozy nights in the cooler months and a fire pit by the lake for those long summer nights. The gite has one large and one smaller double room. The smaller room can either be made up with a double bed or twin beds and the larger room can easily accommodate a single bed for a child. For even more flexibility, if your party is bigger than four people, we also offer 2 double b&b rooms in the main house so if you wish to holiday with extended family or friends, please enquire for price. From the fishing lake with rowing boat for lazy afternoons to the fun 9 hole course for the golfers, Les Pignons is more than just a gite with plenty to entertain all the family. Boasting a gas bbq and a wood fired pizza oven, you will live the outdoor life. For those wanting to maintain their fitness whilst on holiday, Les Pignons also offers a well equipped gym. Close to the beautiful bastide towns of Monsegur and La Reole, there are plenty of places to eat and drink for those wanting a break from cooking. Whether it is kayaking on the Dordogne or wine tasting in a local Chateau, we can help you book any activities in the area. Guests have free run of the grounds and share only with the owners, Jo and Adie. This includes the lake, the swimming pool, the honesty bar/ games room, indoor boule area, gardens and 9 hole golf course. You have your own outdoor seating area in your own part of the garden with gas BBQ. We live on site and are available to offer any help you may need, book excursions etc but at the same time leave you to the privacy of your holiday as you wish. Les Pignons is situated between the historic towns of La Reole and Monsegur. Both are around 5 KMs away and have weekly markets where you can purchase fresh produce as well as the summer night markets where you can join the locals in enjoying a variety of food and drink whilst listening to local music. From every window of the property, there are views across our lake, or across vine yards and sunflower fields so staying at Les Pignons enables you to enjoy the best of this beautiful corner of France. We offer use of our bikes for exploring the local vineyards, or further afield there is kayaking along the Dordogne river or trips to the beautiful cities of Bordeaux and Bergerac. It is important to have transport whilst staying at Les Pignons in order to enjoy all there is to offer within the area. We have plenty of parking in our secure property for your car or hire car if flying into Bordeaux or Bergerac. We have two very friendly dogs who love to welcome you to Les Pignons. We also have 6 hens who provide daily fresh eggs which visiting children love collecting with us during the day.
