We offer a beautiful and relaxing setting. Our Lovely Lakefront apartment overlooks a peaceful bay of Hi-land Lake and our private 3 acre woods with a Nature Trail. Located in the heart of the Pinckney Recreation Area and Potawatomi Trails, the perfect location to explore, mountain bike, hike, swim, SUP, kayak, fish, XC ski, snowshoe.... Connected to Halfmoon Lake chain of 8 lakes. Also includes use of our pedal boat. Kayaks available for rent. No pets, out of respect to those with allergies. COVID-19 update: We take extra care to disinfect our AirBnB space after guests leave as per AirBnB’s COVID-19 guidelines, based on CDC recommendations. Before every reservation, we block out 1 additional night to allow for safely cleaning and disinfecting so that we can protect our guests. We have a 5 night minimum stay. Both Victor and Joyce are fully COVID vaccinated. Entering your private area: Walk along the upper level patio to the well lit outside steps with hand railing. At the bottom of the steps, you enter your private lakefront apartment through your private entrance. Enjoy the view of the bay and our 3 acre woods from your private outside patio or 3 season room. We have WiFi throughout the apartment and for much of the outside property that provides fast internet access for Zoom meetings and streaming your favorite video entertainment. Measured WiFi speed in the apartment is fast! Download speed is 229Mbps. Inside, you'll see the place is beautiful! Through the entry hallway, to the left you enter an open living area with kitchen, dining table, and living room area. The kitchen has a gas stove and oven, microwave, full size refrigerator with freezer, double sink, dishwasher, and is fully stocked with cooking pot and pans, utensils, silverware, plates and glasses. The kitchen open floor plan has a drop leaf dining table with additional leaves that will easily accommodate 4 people. The kitchen overlooks the bay and our woods. The adjoining living room area has a cozy loveseat, a recliner overlooking the lake, a fireplace (not usable), and a 43" Smart flat screen television. From the living area, through the sliding glass door, enter the lake view 3 season patio area overlooking the lake. All 5 sliding glass doors can be opened to enjoy the relaxing sounds, smells, and beauty of the lake and our property. To the right from the entry hallway, is the bedroom with a comfortable Queen size bed, built-in dresser, 2 closets for hanging your clothes, an iron and ironing board, and a full length mirror. There is also a mini-office with desk. The bathroom is located adjacent to the bedroom, off of the entry hallway. There is sink vanity, a bathtub and shower with shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, towels and wash cloths, and of course a toilet. Out the main entrance, your private patio and garden awaits you. Overlooking the lake and woods, there is a patio table with an umbrella, 4 comfortable patio chairs, and a propane grill. A great place for an afternoon BBQ or just relaxing and reading a book. There is WiFi in all areas inside and out and on the patios. The WiFi also extends into our woods and nature trail. Our apartment is set-up for 2 people. There is a diversity of wildlife on our wooded 3 acre property. We have seen: Fox family, deer, racoon, possum, groundhog, Hawk, Great Blue Heron, Mute Swan, Canadian Geese, mallard duck, 54 bird species and more. Perfect for nature lovers, birders, outside activity lovers, and travelers. May (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) update: our guests saw another Fox family with 3 cubs. Spring (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , we opened up the view into the woods, it is such a beautiful property! We also created a Nature Trail in our woods for our guests to enjoy. Two trips around our nature trail loop is 1/3 of a mile. The wild Phlox in our woods are breathtakingly beautiful in May/June. In September-October the Maple Sugarbush on our property turns to yellow, orange, and red. Sit on your private patio and look out into the woods, or hike our little nature trail. We are on the beautiful Halfmoon Lake chain, 8 lakes for boating and exploring. This is a great location for watersports including kayak, SUP, rowing, swimming, water skiing, wakeboarding... The nearby surrounding Potawatomi Trail system (one of the Top 10 mountain bike trails in the U.S.) is great for Biking and Hiking. There are several trail loops, 3, 6, 12, and 18 miles. In the snowy season (December to March) the area becomes a Winter Wonderland, and is great for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. This is a quiet relaxing location, NOT a party destination. Please respect the folks upstairs as they will you. No smoking of anything inside. Please smoke and vape on the outside patio away from windows. Our guests have use of the entire downstairs space with private: bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room, 3 season patio, and outdoor patio with a propane BBQ. You share the yard and it’s amenities. There is the lake shore with 2 chairs, boat dock with swimming steps, and your stay includes the shared use of our aluminum pedal boat (see photo) and life preservers. Swimming in the bay out front of our house, has been our family's favorite swimming spot for over 50 years!
