SUMMIT HOUSE is an architect designed home inspired by sophisticated tree-house design. SUMMIT HOUSE is the ONLY place in Mt Glorious with uninterrupted views from the mountains to the sea. The huge deck overlooks the National Park, twinkly city lights at night, the bay and islands on the horizon. Here is an ideal couple's retreat - a blissful place to relax and reconnect without those daily distractions. SUMMIT HOUSE has the best views you'll find on Mt Glorious (seriously!) extending from the mountains to the sea. Your apartment is completely self-contained with a separate entrance. The sophisticated 'tree-house' style allows you to look into tree-tops and beyond. Climb a gently curved stairway to a lovely bedroom, a modern and efficient ensuite and experience a feeling of being far from the hassles of everyday life. And just wait until you see the dawn over the horizon or gaze at the moon from the deck - magical! There is a separate kitchen with a full cooktop and oven with direct access to the deck - great for that morning coffee. The spacious dining-living room has a long timber table made by a brilliant local craftsman, a grand piano (a bit out of tune but loved like family) and comfortable lounge chairs and furnishings with a touch of 'shabby chic'. Sit in front of the fire-place with a glass of wine and let your thoughts wander. A TV/DVD with a diverse collection of DVDs and a library of books are available for your entertainment. There are many personal touches and artworks to create an atmosphere of character, relaxation and delight. You have an entirely separate space with full conveniences and importantly, privacy. I live downstairs in an entirely separate section of the house. I am out all day, but only a text message away if you need help or have questions - I am pleased to assist you have a comfortable and relaxing stay. Mt Glorious Village is popular with day trippers, cyclists, bushwalkers and birdwatchers. It has retained its tiny village in the rainforest atmosphere surrounded by dense rainforest in which you will discover cool waterfalls in the national park. SUMMIT HOUSE is about 3 kms past the main village. We are in a small community of cottages with one road and Attunga lane, both of which end in the forest. Only the residents pass by. You will need a car to travel further afield as there is no public transport from Mt Glorious. Cycling is a good way to get around locally. Summit House is in a laneway at the top of Mt Glorious in a community of cottages. Colonies of small wallabies, possoms and many other birds and animals live atThe Summit, so take care on the road. People here love the animals (and humans) and would appreciate slow driving :-) The kitchen, dining room and sitting room and deck are very generous spaces. The 'tree-house' bedroom and ensuite are in a tower and aim to create a sense of being 'on holiday'. Climb the curved staircase to begin your adventure in the tree-tops! The decor of the furniture is eclectic; the long dining room table is a unique feature with inlays of scattered leaves, all crafted by a talented local craftsman; original paintings, drawings, vintage etchings and treasured Chinese watercolours and Japanese prints, art glass and ceramics surround you. A well-loved grand piano and guitar await you!
