A Little Peace of Dorset - Yurt’is with a view

Our fully insulated yurt has been hand crafted & is ready for your restful retreat in a secluded spot of North Dorset. You will have private parking next to the yurt with a private toilet, shower and wash space next door. There is a Microwave, toaster & kettle with cups, plates & glasses... we have everything you should need. Outstanding views of the countryside are on your doorstep. Light the stove for cosy nights in. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place for you! The yurt is set in a little corner of a farm in north dorset. We have a few animals on the farm, some goats called Artful and Dodger & our dear little pony Holly & owners dogs. It’s now a family working Farm so we are never far away to help should you need it. Just 10 minutes from the A303 a cosy isolated yurt awaits. Stunning walks & bike rides are all within easy reach. There is outdoor seating to sit and enjoy the beautiful view. You have bbq for you to use under a shelter should the weather not be so great We have a private shower, toilet and wash space right next door in our hand built recycled shed with everything you should need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The yurt is fully insulted and has a wood fired stove for heating. The shower room is not heated. Please note we are atleast a 2 mile drive to the nearest pub or shop Field the yurt is situated in. You are welcome to walk on the farm to meet and feed the animals should you want to. Your hosts will be available whenever you may need them. We live on the farm where the yurt is situated so we are always on hand to make your stay as perfect as it can be! We can not wait to greet you for your stay with us in Yurt’is. Our Yurt is full of everything you may need to make your stay as relaxing and easy as possible. We have mugs, plates, glasses, cutlery, microwave, fridge and kettle. Visit the market town of Shaftesbury and walk up Gold Hill. Enjoy a cup of coffee in one of the local coffee shops and browse the gift shops. Have a cream tea at Stourhead gardens and walk to King Alfreds Tower. Grab a take away coffee and a cake in Mere and head to Mere Downs for a walk to get spectacular views of the Dorset and Wiltshire countryside. Visit Sherborne for a spot of lunch and visit the Abbey. Go for a swim in Riversmeet in Gillingham, or if the weather is great the out door pool in Tisbury or Shaftesbury is a real treat. Take the children to Longleat Safari Park for a fun packed day out. There are a great selection of country pubs, take aways and shops ... the closest being in Mere, Gillingham and Shaftesbury. We can always make recommendations should you need help finding the right place for you. We are approximately an hours drive from a selection of beautiful beaches such as Durdle Door, Sandbanks, Swanage and Weymouth. There is a train that goes through Gillingham, and this goes directly to the city of Salisbury, Sherborne and London Waterloo. There is a train station in Gillingham with a direct train line to Salisbury, London Waterloo, Sherborne and other great destinations. Please note we are 2 miles from any towns with shops and pubs so you will need transport.
