Cosy Family Home with Heated Swimming Pool

The house is in the French country side, small town. You’ll love our place because of the ambiance, the outdoor space, the pool, small town feeling and the French Loire area. The house is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers and families (with kids). This family-built home has been in our family for over 40 years! We enjoy it year-round and love that the house is just a small drive away from the 24h of Le Mans race. We would love to welcome you here! Cosy farmhouse on 5000 m2 land with heated swimming pool and fireplace in beautiful surroundings. The location is ideal for those who love to integrate with a local’s life, rural and straightforward. In the province of La Sarthe, in the Loire Valley, lies the French town of La Chartre sur le Loir, a popular destination for classic car-, wine-, and hiking lovers. At a five-minute drive from this iconic town, where many years ago racers of the world famous 24hour of Le Mans gathered, lies our family farm La Jouanniere in the hill country. With 5000m2 of land, this farm offers panoramic views with beautiful sunsets and sundowns. This well-maintained farm from 1850, has been in our family since 1975. The light interior is rural with an open kitchen and a large cosy fireplace. A heated pool, big bbq, Big Green Egg, outdoor fireplace and lots of land make this property unique vacation place. The swimming pool is private (size approximately: 2.5x7meters). We have one neighbor but there view is limited by trees. If you would like to visit our home with additional people, please request this personally. The house is surrounded by sunflower fields, cows and forests. There are numerous hiking routes, among them the international pilgrim-route of Santiago de Compostela. As well as newly applied biking routes through the valleys and vineyards. House Layout Living room with an open kitchen, dining table for 6 people, fire place, free WiFi and TV /w DVD player. Master Bathroom with shower and bath, beauty mirror, toilet and washing machine. Master Bedroom Large double bed with adjustable backboard. Bunk bed for two people. Large closet with hotel towels and linen. The bed is a standard bed 180x200cm with two mattresses. Additional bedroom (please note this is approximately 20 meters from the main house) Bedroom with twin beds, washing sink with beauty mirror, simple bathroom with shower and sink and a separate toilet. Outside area On the property that are various buildings that are used as storage. Plenty of parking for 3 to 4 cars. The property includes bicycles for adults(2) as well as children(2). On a small elevation of the land you will find our heated swimming pool where the sunrise and sunset can be viewed while swimming! Finally additional amenities outside are a large lounge set, fireplace, large outside table with chairs and ping pong table. For any additional information there are brochures in the house to check out the surroundings or check out the Tourist Office website of La Chartre sur le Loire. You have the freedom to go into the entire house and the rooms. We would like to ask to refrain from entering the shed right next to the swimming pool. We have (sharp) tools there as well as the main swimming pool filter machine. We would love to personally welcome you to our home, but unfortunately are often outside of the country. We will always make sure our home is ready for your stay and clearly communicate how to get to our home. We hope your stay is warm, even though we cannot be a part of that in person. We have a great house with a lot of land surrounding it. With just one neighbor, it allows for a lot of privacy. It is also great for long walks, bike rides or just by car. Because of the vicinity of the house, it is not the place where public transportation is known to be widespread. The best way to get around is by car.
