The Hayloft

The Hayloft has been recently renovated, and turned into a light and airy flat above our stables. We live next to a path which takes you north to the Ochils or south to the beautiful Gartmore Water: perfect if you are a walker or a cyclist. The nearby village of Dollar has a castle, cafes, a pub and a restaurant. We are 40 minutes from Edinburgh airport, 25 minutes from Gleneagles Hotel, 20 minutes from Stirling and an hour from the centre of both Edinburgh and Glasgow. You are welcome to use the tennis court (we can provide rackets and balls), or to walk in the woods which form part of our garden. We would be very happy to answer any questions you have in advance of your visit, and to provide advice about what to see while you are staying with us. The Hayloft is in the middle of the countryside, with views of the Ochil mountain range. Our home is surrounded by mature trees and, if you come at the right time of year, a sea of bluebells. There is a stream at the bottom of the garden. The fields around us are full of wild flowers, sheep, deer, horses, hares and ponies. In the woods there are badgers, woodcock, and red squirrels. It is difficult to reach us by public transport. We have space for you to park your car, and automatic outside lights which will turn on if you get back in the dark. In order to access The Hayloft you need to climb the spiral staircase.
