A few blocks from the downtown historic Square and the Lighthouse. (10 min walk) Private lot on a quiet street. The property is yours to enjoy. The Charming Cottage started welcoming guests in 2019. ~A restful bedroom offering one queen bed. The bedding includes a mattress and pillow protectors. The room features a remote controlled ceiling fan. ~There is a 3 piece bathroom (shower) The essentials of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and good supply of towels are included. ~A full equipped kitchen (fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, Keurig, small blender, kettle and teapot ) pots, pans, cutlery, dishes and glassware. ~There are 3 casual dining areas (island, dining table and bistro set outside) ~A sunlit bright sitting room which includes a remote controlled electric fireplace stove. ~A lovely fenced private backyard garden with a relaxing patio ...spots to relax and unwind in the sun or shade. ~The Cottage has a window A\C unit that adequately cools in warmer months. ~Wifi ~ Sorry (No BBQ or TV ) ~Parking is onsite in a private driveway I'm available for messages before your trip and texts...messages or cell calls during your stay with any questions or concerns you may have. ~The Prettiest Town in Canada...says it all!! ~ Beautiful sunsets ....a working lighthouse ...3 beaches..a marina, harbour and a salt mine....many parks, hiking and biking trails . Unique downtown with shops, restaurants, theatre, seasonal markets, art gallery, library, museum, historic goal and festivals. There is a brewery in town and others in surrounding communities. Also a few vineyards and orchards in the area. There is 1 in town golf course and a few a short drive away. YMCA is located here. Outdoor tennis, pickleball courts and a skating rink. A curling rink and a bowling alley too. There is a small airport located just on the outskirts of town. Also a working commercial train going through the town . Many historical plaques ...and awesome lookout spots for viewing Lake Huron and the Maitland River. Most attractions are within a short walking distance of the cottage . Parking is free, with the exception of the waterfront from June 1st-Labour day. 9-5 at a cost of $4.00 per hour or $20 a day. Parking meters are located at all 3 beaches. There are taxi services if needed. As Hostess ...I will be following the Airbnb Cleaning Protocol . The cottage will be deep cleaned as usual then sanitized . HST registered Airbnb. The cottage is changed seasonally with touches, accents and decor to offer guests a unique experience during their stay. I am happy to help with any questions you may have before or during your stay.
