If you want to stay some days next to nature, living in front of a magnificent view, being independent with simple but efficient kitchen, shower,... don't hesitate to come. THE CABIN: This cosy, rustic cabin is situated in a beautiful rural setting with a spectacular view of the Pyrenees. One cannot help but relax and unwind in this peaceful corner of the Ariege-Pyrenees National Park. FACILITIES: There are facilities to comfortably sleep 4 people, with a double king bed as well as an upper loft that sleeps 2. This makes it ideal for a family, couples or groups of friends wanting to ´get away from it all´ and experience rural life. The cabin is well-insulated but a wood stove is provides additional heating on colder days if needed. There is also a fridge and free internet connection via cable. A basic but lovely kitchen is located just outside the cabin so you can admire the view while you cook (gas) in the fresh air. The adjoining shower provides hot water, or there is a solar shower for use on summer days if you prefer. The site is eco- friendly, with the building itself being made of straw, cork, wood and terracotta. There is a clean compost toilet solely for cabin guest use. Options with extra fee: hot tub, 70e for the day, 20e an extra day. sauna 35e. horse riding from 30e 1 hour plus preparation time, 40e for 2 hours plus preparation time,... dinners are a t 25e for adult, wines and dessert included, 15e for children. breakfast 8e for person. THINGS TO DO: · On-site, private horse trekking is offered by Joan, who is a certified horse riding guide, for riders of all abilities (from beginner to very experienced). This spectacular region lends itself to magical experiences in the forest and mountains, riding on secluded paths past clear streams in the fresh air of the national park. The horses have been trained on-site and you will be personally matched with a horse that matches you ability. For experienced riders Joan offers the opportunity of more advanced treks, where you can feel the freedom of roaming and galloping in the countryside without excessive constraints. · Being well-positioned in the Ariege region, there is a multitude of options for day-trips (we offer picnics on request). · Alternatively one can rest in a tranquil setting with all the comforts of home, and take advantage of the on-site spa pool/hot tub, sauna, or soon-to-be-completed Moroccan Hammam! which are paying facilities. ABOUT US: We are a warm and welcoming Catalan family who live on site, but far enough from the cabin to allow you full privacy.
