Tucked up on the hills of Ironwood, Granite Getaway's 1400 sq. ft. upper unit has a peaceful setting that is close to snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing, waterfalls, fishing, Lake Superior lakeshore, hiking trails as well as several popular ski resorts. You are just minutes from downtown Ironwood, MI and Hurley, WI. You will enter into a large insulated porch. With dozens of hangers and hooks, and a long bench for gearing up for your fun in the snow, you can forget about tripping over all your gear during your stay! The sunny south-facing kitchen provides everything to prepare, cook, and enjoy your meals, as well as ample cabinet space to store your groceries to keep the countertops clear throughout your stay. The solid wooden dining table will allow groups to eat together or play any of the games found in the shelves under the television. If games aren't your thing, relax and watch some TV. The SMART TV will allow you to sign into your personal Netflix, Hulu, or AmazonPrime streaming subscriptions to have access to your favorite shows and movies. Wi-Fi is also included throughout the house. The back porch offers more hooks, a washer, and a dryer. There is one full bathroom, on the main level. You will find each bed has plenty of pillows and warm bedding. You have access to the entire house and outdoor property, with the exception of the basement and outbuilding. Adventure into Granite Getaway's backyard to hop right on sections of the SISU Ski Fest nordic ski trail. Head over to the Miner's Memorial Heritage Park trails for some snowshoeing. A quick 2 mile drive in either direction brings you to nordic ski and snowshoe retreats. Four miles will bring you to ski & snowboarding resorts. ATVs or snowmobiles more your thing? No need to trailer and park; leave right from our front door! You will be about 1.5 miles for Trail #2 (1.5 miles from snowmobile Trail #2 (riding from the backyard, the first mile is local wooded trails and you'll ride the road the last half mile to access the main trail system).
