A stylish home in a quiet residential area, close to M74, free on street parking, electric car charger, next to train station just 20mins from Glasgow city centre & airport. Ideal location for Sightseeing, Swimming, Cycling & Shopping. We'll give you 5* treatment, comfy beds your own luxury bathroom, fluffy towels & robes, breakfast with homemade bread, fresh coffee, choice of teas, cereals & Eggs. Ideal stop if heading North of Scotland to Isle Skye or South to Lake District, York or London. We welcome our guests to share our home with us, upstairs you have two private guest bedrooms and a private guest bathroom on half landing. There's a large bright & airy Kingsized bedroom with smart TV with Netflix or a cosy twin bedroom next door. Both rooms have sound proof windows and blackout curtains/blinds and very comfy beds to help you have a good night sleep ready for your day ahead. Both rooms have wardrobes with hanging space, shelves & drawers to store your belongings, dressing table with hairdryer and straighteners and mirrors to get ready for those special occasions. We use non feather duvets & pillows and cotton bedding there's even extra blankets & hot water bottle for chilly nights and towelling dressing gowns for you to use (all you need to bring is slippers) Both rooms have selection of teas & coffee facilities and chilled bottled Scottish tap water. The bathroom is exclusively yours so welcome to leave your things, you have a large walk in rain shower and double ended bath with waterfall taps and white fluffy towels. You're welcome to use the toiletries if traveling light, just don't forget your toothbrush. Breakfast will be in the kitchen/dinner where the table will be set with selection of cereals, fruit juices, fresh homemade bread & jams and if I'm around will make you special 'Fiona porridge' &/or eggs (however you like them but not so good at poached), espresso or filter coffee or selection of teas, otherwise you can help yourself As I work from home I'm usually there to let you in, please give me your ETA, if I'm not in, I'll send you key code the day before. The house is shared with myself and my husband Alex, but you are welcome to use our modern fully fitted kitchen/dining room which leads into our (work in progress) veg garden. If like us, you love to cook, feel free to bring your own food and use the kitchen, we’ll keep a shelf in the fridge free for you to use, we have drawers full of spices that you are welcome to use. There's a washing machine and dryer you can use, but on sunny days there’s an outside clothesline and in the cupboard under the stairs, you'll find a shared downstairs Loo. The house has Free fibre optic Wifi I work from home most of the time, but you can print/Scan or copy by arrangement. If you are wanting to get away from the blue screen we have a selection of books and games you can borrow or just sit and relax in the lounge or garden (weather permitting) We travel a lot ourselves and know it helps to have some local knowledge, so unless you've already booked your event or planned your trip, we're here to help where we can. We know what we expect when visiting other countries or cities. We are a very friendly easy going couple, we want you to feel relaxed sharing our home, explore Glasgow and the surrounding area and leave with good memories of Scotland. Carmyle is a quiet residential area with a few basic local shops (7am-7pm), pharmacy & Postoffice (9-5) ATM machine, Chinese takeaways & chip shop all within 5 minutes walk. Restaurant/Bar Premier Inn, Orion Way Table Table (7am-9pm), KFC (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) am-11pm) McDonalds 24hr all 15 min walk/2 min drive. Woodend Bar (11am-12am) 20 min walk. There's a play park at the end of the street for kids or you can take your dog for a walk or have a stroll or jog around Carmyle through parks & by the river clyde. With direct access from the motorway and train station within 2 minutes walk, Carmyle is the ideal base to access Glasgow and the West Coast of Scotland, Loch Lomond, The Borders, Fife and Edinburgh. We have direct trains/bus links to all of the following locations close by: Emirates Arena/Velodrome, Tollcross International Swimming, Strathclyde Country Park, Barrowlands, City Centre, SSE Hydro, SEC Centre SEC Armadillo, Glasgow Green all within 20mins and Hampden Park 40 mins For the more energetic who bring their own bikes, the Clyde cycleway provides easy access to Glasgow Green/City Centre and beyond.
