The in-ground pool is great over summer, and the indoor wood burner is fantastic for those cosy winters. Wifi is available along with Optus fetch TV. Available via phone if required The village of Tyalgum is 5 min down the road and offers a general store, coffee shop, and pub along with some specialty shops and village markets on the last Sat of the month. Murwillumbah is 15 min nearer to the coast and has supermarkets, petrol stations and more shops. Best to stop here for supplies when going to the yurt. Driving is the best method of getting to and from the property with a 4WD not required. The property backs on to the World Heritage-listed Wollumbin National Park, formerly known as Mt Warning National Park. The summit of Mount Warning is the 1st place in Australia to see the sunrise. It is an 8.8 km, 5 hour return hike into the rain-forest, finishing with a steep climb providing breathtaking 360 degree views around the ancient caldera with coastal views stretching from The Gold Coast to Byron Bay. It is a short 20 min drive to the start of the hiking / climbing track. Please check local information before attempting a climb. The property is also located approximately 40 min drive from the Gold Coast International airport.
