The room is in a separate building from the over 100 year-old farmhouse where Anne Cope (a much loved local school teacher and owner of the property) lives and is set amongst over an acre of admired garden space that opens to the public once a year during Gardevalia Festival (and that you are of course free to explore). There is also a vegetable garden, chookhouse and small paddock where you can visit the resident chickens, ducks, goats and alpacas (hand-feeding can be arranged). The room itself is equipped with a luxurious hand-made queen size bed (made with high quality linen and pillows), a sofa, hand-made coffee table, tea, coffee, a kettle, a fridge, a heater and even Mongolian felt slippers for winter nights. The ensuite is fully stocked with fresh towels, soap and a luxurious hot shower. Spending the evening by an open fire in the front yard (weather permitting) or by the fireplace in the dining room of the farmhouse can potentially be arranged depending on Anne's availability. As can breakfast on an outdoor garden-view deck (also weather permitting). We have neighbours on the west side of the property who make little disturbance and maintain a nice garden of their own. Other than that there is nothing but green rolling dairy country on all sides. There is no public transport to the house but a taxi from the train stations in either Drouin or Warragul (the nearest towns) costs approximately $15-20 dollars.
