Located in Elmer, a sleepy village 250m from a lovely, never crowded dog-friendly, beach. The rock islands are a unique feature creating sheltered swimming bays & great to fish off or swim around. Secure rear-patio garden, private parking for 3 cars. Sleeps up to 6 people plus 2 dogs welcome. A great base to explore Littlehampton & Brighton, to the East... Bognor, Chichester, Portsmouth to the West and close-by Arundel and the South Downs. IG: sussex_coast_cottages 3 bedrooms lead off an open plan living/ dining /kitchen area. The main bedroom has a double bed and en suite bathroom with bath. There is 1 twin bedroom and a bunk room. There is a shower in the main bathroom. Access all areas. This house has been let permanently as a holiday home for 10 years with other holiday companies and has consistently achieved ratings of around 9 out of 10. We work with 2 local cleaners and we are personally in Elmer a few nights each week. We are always available by telephone if needed. Elmer/Middleton on Sea is situated at the end of a no through road and so remains relatively quiet and little known. To the East of Elmer the beach is backed only by fields as far as Climping and Baylifs Court Hotel and even further for about 3 miles to Littlehampton. There is a very nice beach front cafe, 40 minutes walk to the west in Felpham. Elmer has 3 pubs, an Indian restaurant, A Chinese takeaway and 2 small grocery shops. Further along towards Bognor, Middleton Village has a chip shop, a butchers a hard ware store and a post office. Larger supermarkets are no more than 3 miles by car or bus. Ideally you will have a car. There is a frequent local bus from Bognor Regis Station to Elmer and there are a few shops, Post Office and take away restaurants and pubs within walking distance of Cockle cottage. Stays are Saturday to Saturday only.
