Moulin Ecurades ♦

Moulin Ecurades is an old water mill. We have a very spacious bedroom with a double bed and a (semi) separate sleeping area with a bunk bed. Enjoy the peace, space, the flowing river adjacent to our property, the lakes, endless hiking, mountain biking or a drive by car along all the beautiful villages with castles / churches etc. Whether you are 0 or 100 years old, we believe that your stay with us will be unforgettable. We have enough activities on our own site to get you through the day. A large terrace for socialising, a swimming pool, a large playground for the children, a "library" where you can borrow a book or magazine, a cupboard filled with all kinds of board games. When you drive onto the grounds, you will find space to park your car on your right-hand side. Next to it is the play area for children with the swing, playground equipment and trampoline. On your left hand side you will find the waterwheel of the mill (which still needs to be restored). Next to it is the Chambre d'Hôtes with our house attached to it. Attached to the house you will find an outbuilding with a place to wash the dishes, a toilet and a shower. Adjacent is the campsite. Dogs are allowed on the terrain, if kept on a leash. We do expect the owner to ensure that their dog does not cause a nuisance. Next to the large building is a smaller building, this is our house. We are (almost) always available during your stay. By the French themselves the Creuse is lovingly called "La France Profonde", the true France, untouched and original. But the Limousin is also sometimes referred to as the green heart of France, because of the many extensive forests and the 2,500 km of marked hiking trails. Numerous lakes and étangs, reservoirs and 'plan de eaux' characterise the landscape. It is not for nothing that the Creuse is called 'the land of a thousand and one lakes'. An El Dorado for the angler. The area has a very varied landscape where stone walls and numerous hedges frame the small meadows. These meadows are often home to the Limousin cattle. These cattle are known all over the world for the quality of their meat. There are countless nice, authentic villages and towns that are all worth a visit. There are no trains or buses available in this area. You can explore the area by car, bicycle or on foot. With us you can rent various materials. For example, there is the possibility to rent a towel set. You can also join us for dinner in the evening, but please indicate one day in advance. Actually, too much to mention.
