Our much loved 3 storey terraced house is very close to the centre of Modbury, with just a minute walk to the town's shops, cafes and pubs. The property includes two double bedrooms and a single, 2 shower rooms, an attractive front facing lounge on the middle floor with wood burner. Down stairs is a well equipped kitchen with open plan dining area and a rear door leading to a raised, south facing court yard with seating. The house offers 1 off street parking space. Modbury is a convenient location with easy access to many of South Devon's fabulous beaches including Bigbury (4 miles), Bantham (9 miles) and Hope Cove (11 miles). The famous town of Salcombe is just 12 miles away and historic Dartmouth just 18. Modbury is a picturesque small town with a good selection of boutique shops, traditional pubs, restaurants and cafes. A pleasant place to browse as well as find quality food and drink. 2 Rowan Court is also a family home, and as such we want our visitors to enjoy all the comforts of a well looked after home as well as the convenience of a great holiday location. ideal for a family and dog friendly. Our guests can contact us between 8am and 9pm, with emergency contacts available nearby. Modbury is a pretty, small Devon town with many traditional buildings and features and also three great pubs, many quality independent shops (including a butchers, hair and beauty salons, an art gallery, Chemist) and a useful Co-op. There are coffee shops, a restaurant or two and a couple of good takeaways. All this and more within a picturesque location with easy access to South Devon's beautiful beaches and amazing countryside. A great balance of the small town with useful facilities and a bit of activity, alongside the ability to get some quiet recuperation and rest. Whether your interests lie in the sea, beach and water-sports or a walking holiday, or site-seeing is what you desire, Modbury is an ideal location from which to base your holiday. Modbury has its own share of bridleways and footpaths, whilst the bright lights and shops, theatres and array of attractions in Plymouth are less than an hour away. Swimmers, surfers, Kite-surfers, kayakers, canoeists and sunbathers can all get their kicks on the nearby beaches of Bigbury, Bantham, Hope Cove and more, whilst those with an eye for fashion and being seen in ''the place to be'' can take a short journey to Salcombe, where beaches, bars and boutiques abound. Historians, walkers and those with an eye for the educational, it's a short car or bus journey to Slapton Sands; the location of the ill-fated military training exercise ''Tiger'' during World War 2. Or, perhaps a drive or bus to Plymouth to the site of Drake's game of bowls before sailing to battle the Spanish Armada in 1588. Whilst there, why not visit the historic Naval Dockyard where extensive refurbishment has created an impressive restaurant and bar district alongside the home of the Royal Navy. Plymouth is also the home of the famous Hoe, The Gin Distillery, The Theatre Royal and the Barbican. Along with the Aquarium, there are many interesting and fun places to see. The Royal Naval College at Dartmouth is just one awesome and memorable site in this beautiful seaside town. A castle, a waterside railway, Museums, Art galleries are just a few places to visit; if you can fit those in alongside the many quality pubs, restaurants and bars! If the children want a bit of fun, why not have a go at beating the locals at catching sea crabs off the quay. Keep an eye out for an occasional seal or if you are luck a river dolphin. All this and more is in easy reach of Modbury, a place that typifies why South Devon is such a fantastic place to holiday. WiFi included
