A lovely traditional house dating from 1810, immediately next to beach and with stunning views of sea and spectacular sunsets. Large sitting room upstairs and dining room immediately next to the well-equipped galley kitchen. An annexe with separate front door holds the washing machine and tumble dryer. There are two gardens available for sitting out, playing or having a barbecue, one to the front of the property immediately next to the beach, and one to the side of the house. The house is situated very centrally in the village of Portmahomack with amenities close by, and very close to the safe, sandy beach I live at a distance, but there is local keyholder who is available if necessary Portmahomack is a small village with a lovely harbour, a safe sandy beach only thirty yards from the front door of the house. A Post Office and shop sells necessary groceries and there are two restaurants and a pub nearby. There is a golf course. The Tarbat Visitors' Centre in the old parish church is the starting point for exploring the history of the dark age monastery and the many interesting Pictish stones and carvings in the surrounding area. There is a fine walk to the Tarbatness lighthouse, and many interesting trips nearby -dolphin watching at Avoch on the Moray Firth, in summer months you can take the Nigg Ferry to Cromarty. Dornoch and Dunrobin Castle are an easy drive, and it is possible to take a day trip to the west coast. The nearest town is Tain, ten miles drive away. There are two supermarkets there. Buses are very infrequent.
