A large (110 sq.m) two bedroom luxurious barn apartment decorated in a traditional French style in the grounds of an ancient mill house (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , just a few miles from the Dordogne river and the fascinating medieval villages of Martel, Collonges La Rouges, Turenne, La Cave and Rocamadour... This two bedroom apartment, situated on the north eastern side of the barn is cosy but spacious and accommodates 4 in two very comfortable bedrooms. It has a full kitchen, open plan sitting room & dining area and shower room on the ground floor with two glass doors leading into the garden and courtyard area. A wooden staircase leads to the second floor which houses a large bedroom (Queen Size bed) dressing room/walk in cupboard and full bathroom with Victorian bath, shower and toilet. There is another smaller bedroom (2 single beds or Queen Size bed) on the third level with an en-suite shower room which sleeps two. There is a ceiling fan in the 2nd bedroom and standing fan available for the main bedroom. This apartment is beautifully furnished and fully equipped, an ideal base within which to relax after a day of exploring this enchanted area. The open courtyard area equipped with table and chairs an ideal spot for alfresco dining or relaxation. Rouge is an independent apartment in the ancient barn which is totally self contained. The grounds are accessible to all guests to walk and relax. There is a caretaker, Fiona who looks after the property but does not live there. She is available at all times and is extremely helpful and accommodating. The key will be left in case of a time issue. MOULIN DE MALECOSTE can be found on the D100, a country road running between the villages of Cazillac and Sarrazac in a rural setting. The House stands alone ands is surrounded by woods, pastures and walnut groves, the nearest neighbours barely visible through the trees, which allows for peace and privacy. nearest village is Sarrazac 2,5 kms hotel and restaurant nearest shopping Leas Quatre Route 5kms supermarket, bakery, presse, post office. This area is famous for its gastronomical excellence and regional cuisine, characterised by duck, goose, foie gras, truffles walnuts and walnut oil as well as the food and brocante markets held in surrounding villages. It is equally popular for its wines which are produced in vineyards around Cahors. Many activities are available within 30 minutes’ drive from the Moulin. There are three golf courses in the area, fishing in many surrounding rivers, horse-riding, cave visits, tennis, hiking, cycling as well as water sports available at the Lac du Causse.
