Quiet as country, one minute from great coffee
Charmingly eccentric, very comfortable and spacious two-bedroom shack set in an elegant sweep of hedged garden shaded by a giant pin-oak tree. Lounge in summer shade or snuggle by the fire in winter. All the quiet and privacy of a country cottage only two minutes' stroll to the V-Line railway station, five minutes more to the cafes, pubs, regular markets and shops of Woodend village and a network of gorgeous nature walks. The whole house and garden, with outside furniture that can be made extra comfortable with cushions from inside, is available for our guests. We are also in the process of ensuring access is absolute for all guests. Self-access on arrival is by key-safe (front and back door keys) attached at the front door. However if you prefer, your hosts are happy to greet you personally. The neighbourhood is quiet and friendly. VLine trains are barely noticeable but can be heard pulling into Woodend station every hour or so. Parking is available inside the hedged driveway for one or two vehicles, and plentiful on the wide grassy verge on Mahoney's Road. Guests with pets should note that the garden is hedged, not fenced, with an open gap for the driveway, so is not absolutely secure. Pets should be watched outside if they tend to escape. Also, let Janice know if you require a dog bed for your stay.
