Lovely 2+1 bedroom, 2 bath, four season home on the Ottawa River. Situated on a quiet private crescent with a view of the Laurentian mountains on Allumettes Island, QC. No pets. Minimal cell service in the area. Note: Docks/kayaks will only be in the water from Canada Day weekend to Labour Day weekend. 3 bedrooms, (1 queen, 1 double & single, 1 double), 2 full bathrooms and laundry. Bedding & bath towels provided. Full kitchen with a large refrigerator, stove, microwave, Keurig compatible & drip coffee pot and everything you need to cook with. Living room overlooking the river and a separate rec-room with cable TV & BluRay player. Selection of board game, books and movies available. Cell service is minimal in the area. No landline. Forced air furnace, Central Air and a pellet stove to keep you comfortable year round. An open deck overlooking the water, with patio table, chairs and BBQ. Important things to note: - Wifi, not high speed (rural) - No city water. Well water only, you need to be conservative when using it and if the power goes out, you won’t be able to use water at all. Pumps are run on electricity. -Fire Bans can be put in place by municipality during dry weather. Winter - Four season home. Curl up and relax with a book in front of the pellet stove over looking the river or enjoy a movie/board game in the cozy rec-room with the heated floors! Short drive to Quebec snowmobile trails or over to Ontario. Make sure to buy your passes. Bring your snowshoes to enjoy the outdoors! Summer (Note docks/waterfront will be ready for use by Canada day weekend and removed following labour day weekend) At the river you have: Natural waterfront, bring your water shoes! A campfire pit with some fire wood included. Municipal boat launch minutes away. 3 kayaks (2 adult & 1 child) & life jackets available, for use at your own risk. The Ottawa River has: Bass, Pickerel and Pike, plenty of room for all forms of watersports. Don’t forget your Quebec fishing license! By water: Up river has appx. 3 KM of unmarked shallow waters and then rapids. Down river has appx. 35 KM of marked channel to the village of Cambell’s Bay. By Boat: Esprit rafting. Beaches: Henessey Point (across from Nangor) and Coulonge Beach Available via email or phone for any emergencies or concerns. Less than 5 minutes to local corner store/butcher (Conroy’s), bakery (Karl’s), restaurant (l’ancienne banque) and fuel (Lepines Garage). Dubeau's Grocery on Hwy 148 for your last minute supplies. 20 Minutes to Pembroke or Fort William, 30 Minutes to Chutes Coulonge and Esprit Rafting Many golf courses in the area. For cycling enthusiasts there is the PPJ cycle path. Unable to access Pembroke/Petawawa section of the Ottawa River. No marinas on this section of river. You will need portable jerry cans to fuel your boat.
