Glamping by the Pond on Salt Spring Island
Beautiful, spacious Bell Tent with queen size bed nestled next to a large pond in a private, serene, forested setting on Salt Spring Island. Amenities include outdoor kitchen, waterside cedar deck for dining and lounging, outside hot water shower and composting toilet. Ideal, romantic setting for couples or great fun for families. Access to glamping site is a short walk ( 200 m) down a steepish path. Recommended for those able to hike on uneven paths with slight incline. The spacious tent has a Dyson hot/cool fan that makes it comfortable on hot days and cooler nights. Kitchen has a double sink with running hot water. Appliances include toaster oven, hot plate, kettle, coffee bodum, large 6 burner BBQ with side element . Private outside shower with on-demand hot water for bathing and private outhouse with composting toilet. Fresh towels, linens, soap, shampoo, potable water, coffee and tea provided. Guests have access to wooded area surrounding the pond. Wood fired sauna available depending on fire restrictions with one sauna per stay. Children's kayaks, badminton, slack-line and bocce ball for your entertainment. Two extra Floor mattresses can be made available for extra guests. I am happy to greet guests and answer any questions they may have upon arrival. Sunset swim beach at Vesuvius is 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk away. Beautiful, forested Duck Creek Park is just across the road. Ganges town is 5 minute drive away where you'll find local wineries, roadside farm stands, markets, bakeries, and other amenities. Bicycle, car, kayak and scooter rentals available in Ganges. 1. Please note that although the pond is a refreshing swimming hole there is *no lifeguard on duty* so one must enter pond at own risk. Please monitor your children at all times as the pond is not fenced. 2. Children 4 years and older are welcome only and must have PFD’s with them.
