You will be amazed by the magnificent views of the undulating landscape of Bena. Described by many as the “rolling hills of velvet green”, these views are available from nearly every window in the cottage. For those that don’t know the area, Bena is situated 1.5 hours from Melbourne, 10 minutes to Korumburra and Loch, and 20 minutes to Inverloch. Get away, unwind and just relax with much to do or nothing-whatever you choose. ***Please note** Surrounding farmland is off limits for guests. This beautifully renovated barn and hay loft has been converted into a gorgeous home. With 3 bedrooms, 3 living zones, and 2 bathrooms. Recently completed, Kiama Farm has been lovingly decorated with all the amenities you require for a fabulous stay. A cast iron wood heater ensures our guests are warm and cosy in winter and reverse cycle air con/heating both upstairs and down stairs makes it the perfect stay all year round. Fully equipped kitchen with new dishwasher, new oven/stove, and microwave. This home can comfortably sleep 9 people with a four bed bunk room, a queen bedroom, a king bedroom and a king single in the loft. Downstairs comprises the kitchen, lounge, main bedroom, bath/laundry/toilet and games room complete with table tennis table. Undercover al fresco dining outside complete with gas bbq. Journey upstairs into the large living zone with the most breathtaking views. Two more bedrooms, bath/toilet and loft/nook complete your home away from home. Walk outside at night and experience complete silence, only broken by the sounds of nature. You will hear frogs, crickets, and the occasional lowing of our cattle. Look up to the sky to see the most brilliant stars and moon scapes. This is what makes Kiama Farm so special. Good for your mind, body and soul. Kiama Farm East is part of a 264 acre working beef cattle farm. Our steers are Black Angus and are fed solely on grass. We don’t use hormones, antibiotics or grain to increase production. Our animals are given the best possible life at Kiama Farm, with an abundance of good quality pasture, water, shade and shelter. We pride ourselves on the nurturing nature of our farming procedures to raise healthy and happy animals. The minimum amount of stress is always a priority for our steers. Our boys are very inquisitive and depending on our pasture rotation you may wake to find some lovely fellows looking at you through the kitchen window! They love to know what is going on, however they are not tame and will more than likely run away if you approach them. They may also become stressed if approached and it is for this reason we ask that you look but don’t touch. Rest assured your health is our priority, and in these uncertain times Kiama Farm will be immaculately cleaned and sanitised for every guest stay. We will allow 24 hours between cleaning and guest arrival for every stay. Disinfectant spray and hand sanitzer/disposable gloves will be plentifully provided when you stay with us. Guest are able to access all areas of the cottage and the immediate surrounding garden/al fresco dining area. The original hay loft is a great place to set up tents for the kids. I am only a phone call away to answer any questions or to be of help. Bena is in the heart of South Gippsland. Only 1.5 hours from Melbourne, but so incredibly rural. The views of the countryside have an immediate calming effect on all who travel here and the beauty of mother nature at her best is so good for your soul. Bena is centrally located to so many attractions: 10 mins to Loch 10 mins to Korumburra 15 mins to Inverloch 40 mins to Cape Patterson 1 hour to Phillip Island 1.5 hours to Wilsons Prom So much to see and do in South Gippsland. Please read my Guide Book for further information regarding the attractions within close proximity to Kiama Farm South Gippsland can be quite cool in the winter months so bring warm clothing so you can still enjoy the outdoors.
