We have a double room available in our 3-bedroom home. The room features a super king size (super comfy) bed, large built-in wardrobes, drawer units, hair dryer & TV. Linen, towels & bills are incl. - free wi-fi (Amazon Alexa & Fire Stick in the room). Shared rooms / facilities incl the family bathroom (w/over bath shower), kitchen (electric oven & hob, large fridge & freezer, washer & dryer), dining room, large living room & free on-street parking, private garden w/summer house, deck & hot tub The shared rooms / facilities include the family bathroom (with an over bath shower), kitchen (with electric oven & hob, large fridge and freezer, washer & dryer), dining room, large living room and outside there is free on-street parking, a large private garden complete with a summer house, large deck for meals outside, relaxing & also a hot tub, which you are more than welcome to utilise. Guests use the front door of the house. The bedroom and bathroom are located on the ground floor, off the main hallway. Also off the hallway is the shared dining room, kitchen and living room. The only private rooms are the second ground floor (spare) bedroom & Tim and Reitta's bedroom / bathroom on the first floor beyond the living room. The private back garden, decking and hot tub are accessible either via the kitchen, the living room or the garden side gate. Tim works from home & Reitta works in a nearby care home, so we are usually available - Otherwise our mobile phones are always on, we'll usually respond within an hour. New Winton is a picturesque, rural village situated approximately one mile southeast of Tranent. it also has been designated a conservation area to ensure the village retains its charm. It is ideally placed for commuting to Edinburgh with access to the city bypass approximately 10 minutes away by car. (Your own transport would be a must). Shopping facilities can be found locally in Tranent as well as a wide range of leisure and recreational facilities. It is also conveniently located for the extensive shopping outlets at Newcraighall and Straiton Retail Park. There are also numerous local pubs, clubs & restaurants in the 3 nearby villages – Ormiston, Pencaitland and Tranent – All just over a mile from the house. There is a local bus that travels into the centre of Edinburgh. approx. 0.6 miles (10 mins walk) from the house. There are also train stations, with free parking, in Prestonpans and Wallyford offering quick and convenient travel to Edinburgh city centre. New Winton is also well placed for access to East Lothian’s beautiful countryside and fine coastline and there are numerous countryside walks available right outside the front door. We adhere to Covid-19 guidelines and respect our guests privacy / distancing, as such we will try to keep out of the way, unless our assistance is required. The guests room(s) and shared areas are routinely sanitised prior to their arrival and disinfectant room spray (and a personal sanitiser spray for them to keep) is available in the bedroom and bathroom for the guests use.
