Two pubs serving food are a short stroll with a further 3 at approx. 800m. There are wonderful walks from the doorstep some of which can lead you to some great country pubs. The Mendips are also renown for caving, climbing, horse riding and their fabulous mountain bike trails. Closeby are famous Chew Valley and Blagdon lakes, both of which are great fishing venues for trout and pike. There are many golf courses in the area, the closest being just 2 miles away. Weston-Super-Mare beach has vast sands and it's an easy drive to many interesting landmarks. Of course you could just cosy up by the fire and enjoy the space 'at home', star gaze on a clear night from the hot tub with a glass of fizz (repositioning satellites and even the ISS can be seen) or witness the launch of hot air balloons locally when the weather is good.
