Chatley Studio, Norton St. Philip, Bath
Chatley Studio won an award for its unique architecture. It has great views and is perfect for art and culture. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. It is close to Bath and much more. The Studio is at the bottom of my garden with amazing views of the countryside and the White Horse at Westbury. If you are lucky, you will see some sheep. Fantastic views of the Westbury White Horse and surrounding countryside. Peaceful and idyllic. The village is a 10 minute walk, has 2 pubs where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner - best to book The George as it can be quite busy. There is a local supermarket where you can buy supplies also a lovely farm shop. There is a bus-stop straight across the road which takes you into Bath a 20 minute journey. You can use the space directly around the studio. There is a table and chairs where you can sit and admire the countryside while you have your breakfast or a glass of wine etc. If you have any questions, I am happy to help. The neighbourhood is countryside with wonderful views. The ancient village of Norton St. Philip is a 10 minute walk or a 2 minute drive. The George one of two Medieval public houses, looks onto a beautiful church and cricket pitch. There are some nice walks around the area. There is a mini supermarket with a cashpoint machine and a post office. There is a bus-stop just across the road for Bath and by the cattle-grid for Frome (timetable in the file). The bus service is D2. When returning ask for Chatley House stop. You need to press the bell once you are over the traffic bumps. There is also a local taxi service and the telephone number is in the blue file. The 17th century village pub is a must. In Summer you can sit outside and admire the wonderful view of the cricket pitch with a church in the background There are two wonderful farm shops. In summer there is a beautiful lavender farm and cafe. Of course Bath has plenty to explore including the Thermae Bath Spa located on an open roof. It is a combination of the historic spa and a contemporary building and re-opened in 2006
