Cosy Double Room with own bathroom near Bath!

Welcome to our family home, set in 3 acres of beautiful Wiltshire countryside. We are a family of six, who keep our own sheep and pigs for meat, chickens for eggs, bees for honey and harvest our fruit and vegetables. The house is bathed in sunshine all day long, there is plenty of space to eat, sit, relax, unwind, work and play both inside and out. This is a relaxed, family home, perfect for visiting Bath, exploring villages, walking in nearby countryside or having outdoor adventures. Orchard Barn is close to Bradford on Avon, Bath, Bristol, Salisbury, Glastonbury, Stonehenge and Oxford. Do come and cuddle or feed our lambs (April to September), feed the pigs (March to August), or collect eggs! The house is a barn conversion that is found at the end of a drive lined with chestnut trees. The house has a spacious, front gravelled area where parking is easy. This front garden catches the daytime sun and is a perfect spot to have a cup of coffee and read the papers. As you enter the property, the Cinema Room is to your right and is a place to sit and take in the morning sun, relax on in front of the fire or, of course watch TV (Netflix and Amazon Prime are available to use). The kitchen is on your left and is open plan with a cosy sitting area around a woodburner fire. The dining room leads out through bifold doors onto the patio and garden. There is a generous garden area with outside seating, table tennis and trampoline; through a gate there is then the orchard with chicken house, pigs, vegetable garden, greenhouse and then through a further gate, the paddock, where the sheep graze. You are welcome to feed the animals yourself. This is a wonderful, light and interesting house to enjoy a special birthday, a holiday or touring the beautiful villages, towns and cities nearby. Alternatively stay here as a break on your journey to or from a holiday destination or a well needed rest on a work trip. You can wake to see the sun and the Westbury White Horse to the east and sit at the dining table or patio to watch the sun set across the fields. The sun sets are truly magical here. Apart from your private bedroom and bathroom, you will have access to the kitchen, dining room, Cinema room and garden. We will be happy to answer any questions via email or phone before you arrive so that your holiday will be all that you wish for. If we are not available during your stay which is unlikely, if you need any advice, help or company we will ensure there is someone nearby who can help. Our property is situated in Southwick, a village dating back to the 1600's, situated between the picturesque village of Rode and the market town of Trowbridge. A car is recommended but there is a good taxi service which can take/pick you up from either Bradford on Avon or Trowbridge train stations. Do come and feed the animals, collect the eggs or enjoy our large garden and orchard!
