Views, Privacy & Space - room by room

Our ex-Show Home, whilst on a main street, is very private and spacious, high on a sheltered 'rural' hillside, with stunning mountain, sea and sunset views from upper levels. We are part of Air BnB's 'Open Homes' program, offering our downstairs bedroom and ensuite as a haven for those in need of urgent accommodation following a disaster, or needing to be close to patients at New Plymouth's Base Hospital, which is only two minutes drive away... This listing is for the use of the large downstairs studio bedroom in our home, but there are three bedrooms upstairs which can be let on a case-by-case basis by arrangement (see our other listing for room details) We live upstairs, but are happy to share our living areas and outdoor area by arrangement (and for breakfast for four or more, if required). We love to meet new people, especially to promote (and sometimes guide them around) our beautiful region and its attractions, or even just sit and enjoy the views, from our home and garden, while we share cultures/stories together. We are on a main street in the suburbs, but secluded and private at the top of a wooded drive. Nearby Ngamotu Beach is family-friendly, with restaurants and Coastal Walkway adjacent. There are three nearby shopping areas, with supermarkets, takeaways, bank, and bars. Across the road is a playing field, and there are two primary school playgrounds within close walking distance. So many amenities and attractions are within walking distance, but we are also on the main bus route and easy to find for both visitors and taxis. (See other listing for 'Guidebook') My husband has an adjacent 'Man Cave' so you will pass some of his 'Army' signs between your bedroom and bathroom... Our kitchen is above the bedroom, but we are careful to be as quiet as possible for your comfort (you may hear the dishwasher etc).
