Cosy cottage with wonderful views
The cottage is located between the Spa town of Buxton and Chapel en le Frith, close to Peak District National Park, it has all amenities for a great break. There is an abundance of beautiful walks and cycle paths through breathtaking countryside from the doorstep. It is suitable for 4 people with parking for one car to the front and additional to side. The cottage offers views of Mam Tor and to the rear is a terraced patio. Wood burning stoves keeps the cottage very cosy. There is a storage room with two bike holders and dog towels will be made available for drying any soggy pets! We can be contacted via email/phone if needed and we live only 10 minutes away so can be available in person if required. The location provides ideal access to the Peak National Park and walkers are spoilt with local walks including Kinder, Mam Tor, Eccles Pike, Standedge Edge, Cracken Edge and The White Peak. Cyclists are equally spoilt with the Tissington and Monsal trails and an abundance of country rides and cycle hire should you need it. If country homes are your thing you are only a short drive from Chatsworth House, Lyme Park and Haddon Hall to name a few and Castleton with it's caves and local cafes, pubs and restaurants and not forgetting the magnificent Winnits Pass is only 10 mins drive or even cycle if that's you're thing. The spa town of Buxton is easily accessible and here you can find the leisure centre, Pavillion Gardens, Buxton Opera House and lots of lovely cafes and restaurants. The Peak Forest Canal begins in Whaley Bridge which is a 10 mins drive and you can cycle/walk for miles through Furness Vale, New Mills, Disley and beyond or up to Bugsworth Basin where you will find a local pub. The Pheonix narrowboat can be hired for the day/half day if you fancy a sail. Whaley Bridge is 10 mins drive where you can find local shops including Tesco, pubs and restaurants and Toddbrook Reservoir. A 20 mins drive will take you to Ladybower Reservoir or Hathersage with it's outside heated Lido which is wonderful all weathers and has a wonderful cafe on site! Matlock is 30 mins drive and is home to Heights of Abraham, Gulliver's Kingdom and Peak rail steam trains, not to mention the best chip shops for miles! Crich Tramway Village can take you back in time and is a lovely day out or you could venture to Great Hucklow and visit Peak Llamas. There are supermarkets in both Buxton and Chapel which are within a 10 min drive and easily accessed. There are shops, cafes and restaurants in Buxton, Chapel and nearby towns Whaley Bridge, Chinley and New Mills. You really are spoilt with walks, cycle routes, motorbike rides or simply to chill out and enjoy a relaxing weekend in a cosy cottage which is newly renovated and has all the comforts of home. Dove Holes train station is a 5 min walk away with links to Buxton and Manchester and the 199 bus stop is 10 mins walk with links to Manchester airport and Buxton.
