Perched high above the Poowong Valley the house is nestled on 4 acres of lush farmland. If you are looking for a quiet & relaxing haven to escape & unwind from the hustle & bustle and a base to launch your trips to Inverloch, the Prom, the wineries and farmers markets or simply driving tours of the beautiful South Gippsland countryside, this stylish house allows for a calm and soothing getaway in the quaint village of Poowong. Bimbadeen means "beautiful view" in the local aboriginal dialect. The home has 2 individual private bedrooms, a lounge room with stunning open fireplace and a kitchen/dining room. There is also a bathroom with a large rain shower, washing machine and toilet. The house is ideal for a relaxing get-together with a couple of friends (the double size sofa bed can accommodate 2 children or a cosy adult couple giving you a total of 6 guests) but actually it's perfect for just two to enjoy a romantic getaway. There are spectacular views in every direction from the open planned lounge/dining/kitchen which opens to an upper deck with hooded BBQ for alfresco dining and a lower deck for yoga, tai chi or to simply relax and watch the meandering dairy cows in the river valley below. After the sun has set you can roll down the extra large screen and transform the lounge into your own private cinema. There is an overhead projector you can plug your laptop into via a HDMI port and a bluetooth bose speaker system so you can watch your favourite Netflix shows or sports programs. The sweeping tree-lined driveway opens to a large parking area and 1 undercover carpark. The Poowong Pub is an 8 minute easy stroll and the IGA supermarket just 2 minutes further. The towns of Loch and Korumburra are 10 and 15 minutes drive. We will provide a code for you to collect the key upon arrival at the property and we will be available by phone to help you with any questions. The area of Poowong was settled in 1874 and grew into a predominantly dairy farming area. Today the quaint town boasts rolling hills, a Country Pub which serves great meals Wednesday to Saturday, an IGA supermarket, cafe, local library, football ground, basketball and squash courts, public swimming pool and remedial massage centre. We provide basic cooking ingredients such as salt, pepper, oil and some spices plus the fridge has a few condiments you are welcome to use. The 6 burner BBQ is great to cook up a storm and also has a hood so it’s easy to do a roast (there is no oven). There is both a stovetop espresso coffee pot and a nespresso pod machine with coffee provided for both plus a great range of loose leaf teas.
