Finngrove Cottage

Welcome to Finngrove Cottage. Our property is set on 3.5 acres, just 35 KM's from the Melbourne CBD at the Gateway to the Yarra Valley. The cottage is suitable for couples or families with 1 or 2 children. The property has plenty of rare and interesting plants and was the original discovery site of the Finngrove Plant, hence the name. Our cottage is newly renovated, fully self contained and ideal for a semi rural mini break not to far from the CBD. There’s is a heated swimming pool and integrated spa pool, available for guests to use during the summer. There is a long range flying fox and swing that hangs from a huge Eucalyptus tree, you can swing into the sky. The Cottage has an indoor log fire and an outdoor open fire place to keep you cosy on the cooler nights. Ideal for a few glasses of Yarra Valley wines. We also have a large fire pit on the property to gather round and have toasted marshmallows and smores (except during fire season) There is a Nespresso coffee machine in the cottage with an assortment of coffee flavors, tea, hot chocolate, cereals and milk are all provided and other are essentials included. We provide all linen which is professionally laundered to the highest of Australian Standards (Heat treated over 60 degrees) and the cottage is cleaned by professional cleaners who wear PPE while cleaning and then in addition use Anti-bacterial disinfectant on all surfaces post cleaning. Your health and safety is important to us and we want to reassure you all steps have been taken in line with the cleaning guidelines from the CDC, to ensure your well being during COVID-19 You are free to roam around the property and gardens as you wish. As we live on the property in the main house we are available for guests during their stay, feel free to reach out to us should you require anything. We respect your privacy and the property is set up with self check in so you can have as much or as little interaction with us as you like. We are surrounded by similar properties with vineyards, horses and plenty of wildlife. The St Andrews Markets are a few minutes away. The Vineyard trail starts just minutes away with the beautiful Panton Hill winery followed on Easthill Estate, Massaro's on the way to Chateau Yerring, Chandon Domiane and many more famous Yarra Valley vineyards. There are many cafes and restaurants along the way most notable Fondata which is an excellent dining experience. There are always many local produce/farmers and craft markets on every weekend within a short drive of our property. The property is 5 minutes drive from Hurstbridge train station and has plenty of car parking, which makes for an easy journey to Flinders Street Station in the Melbourne CBD. About 20 Minutes drive will see you in reach of many large shopping complexes such as Doncaster Westfield and Eastlands Westfield. Our area is also popular for cycling routes. Please be aware we have a large un-fenced water Dam at the end of the property so keep an eye on little ones and your own safety. We also have a fully fenced swimming pool for guests to use by the main house, please ensure your safety and that of children when in use.
