Airy cottage with meadow views in The Berkshires

Light-filled cottage on a hill near Tanglewood surrounded by open fields and beautiful gardens. We are located on the border of The Berkshires, MA and Columbia County, NY. The area boasts great views, small family-run farms, orchards, and rolling hills. You’ll love our place set in a four season area with things to do for all tastes. Shop and dine in nearby Lenox, West Stockbridge or Chatham, NY. The town of Hudson is an easy 1/2 h drive. Enjoy world famous cultural events at Tanglewood (only 15 minutes away), Jacob's Pillow and other Berkshire Valley gems. In the summer, hike mountain ridges or go for a swim in nearby Queechy Lake. Have fun skiing in the winter. We are close to four ski resorts (Catamount, Butternut, Jiminy Peak and Bousquet). Our cottage is cozy and light-filled on a quiet road surrounded by open fields. It is the guesthouse on our property, but is private and separate from the main house. The bedroom has a full bed, and the common area has two twin-sized day beds. There is a working woodburning stove, and an open kitchen. The place is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and we are happy to have your pet. Please note that there will be an extra $50 one time charge for bringing any animal ( added to regular cleaning charge) The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen. There is an outdoor eating area with a charcoal grill. In addition, the cottage has a washer and dryer. My husband Mehdi and I live and work in NYC. This property is our weekend retreat. The main building is an 1846 farm house with a converted barn. We always dreamed of having a home in this area and plan to retire here one day! Until then we spend our vacations and holidays here. We are an international family and have lived in different parts of the world. We love hosting our friends and family. We are excited to offer you our guest cottage and hope you will enjoy the garden and fields around as much as we do! We are usually only here on weekends, but are easy to reach by phone. Our son Jacob helps us manage reservations when home from college.
