Relax & Play at Hearts Nest Cabin

We provide everything you need for a wonderful time: serene 3BR/1.5 BA, hot tub on deck, Weber grill, mud room, washer& dryer, open living room, wood stove, equipped kitchen w/dishwasher. Cross country and downhill ski in winter, hike, bike, paddle, swim, fish in summer. Quiet, beautiful biking, hiking and relaxing in spring and fall. A taste of heaven. The cabin has all the amenities of comfort while you will be nestled in the pines of Sky High Ranch. It is quiet, with a long driveway away from other cabins. You can see the stars at night (great view from the hot tub!), the drinking water is superb, and the air is clean. A much better alternative to Tahoe, especially in the summer. No traffic, no crowds, stunningly pristine! Please note that in the winter, you will park near the road and need to walk in about 100 feet to get to the cabin. We can provide snowshoes upon request so you can float over the snow. We love the cabin and consider its remote location an asset. That said, if you want a drive-in/out winter condo or home, you can book one at Bear Valley Vacation Rental as we really want you to be happy here! This is a fully stocked house with everything but the food. We also have two canoes under the house available during the summer, and sleds in the winter. There is also wifi available in the cabin. We will not be on the premises. Instead, we have someone to clean and help in a pinch as needed. Sky High Ranch neighborhood is 5 miles below Bear Valley, with a small pond walking distance from the cabin. Very friendly, with not too many people. You will need a car, any kind in summer and AWD or good chains in the winter to get up a 1 mile steep hill (really). While the cabin is an ideal location to vacation and retreat, wifi is limited to emails and texting - it is not set up to be a “Zoom” location. That said, Verizon/Xfinity/ATT personal hotspots with good data plans generally work well at the cabin. In fact, we have used it for Zoom many times, as well as streaming Netflix. We now have the ability to allocate 5 gb of wifi for your stay upon request. The bedroom with the two single beds can be combined to form a king bed (straps and padding in bedroom closet). There is a queen-sized convertible couch in the loft upstairs that can be folded down and used for sleeping if needed. In the loft, there is also a desk and a 46 in LCD TV with a DVD player. We have a variety of DVD movies. There is also an HDMI cord to attach to your laptop (feel free to bring your own shows and movies!).
