A great family home away from home

Driftwood Cottage is a modern, airy terraced cottage on an exclusive landscaped holiday development adjacent in an officially designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The university town of Falmouth is a few minutes drive away as are the beaches at Maenporth, Swanpool and Gyllyngvase. We love this house and hope you will too! Driftwood Cottage is set up for you to relax and enjoy yourselves! There's superfast broadband delivering wifi internet access for you, along with BT TV. The kitchen is fully equipped and the BBQ is waiting outside on the patio for you to use. We keep a small library of paperbacks in the cottage: feel free to take one away if you're in the middle of it when you come to the end of your stay! The whole house is yours during your stay for you to use as you wish. We spend much of the summer away from Falmouth, so we will probably not be there to meet you on arrival and you will be left to enjoy the house at your own leisure. The house is easily accessed by self check in and check out. We are contactable by phone, text, email or through airbnb at all times and our daughter lives locally and can help in times of need. The house is set in the landscaped gardens of Pendra Loweth. The development offers a gym (over 16s only), plunge pool, jacuzzi, sauna and tennis courts all of which are open to our guests at no charge. The nearest shop is the local co-op, a few minutes drive away. It is open until 9pm and offers a good range of fresh foods. Larger supermarkets are slightly further away. There is an extensive network of footpaths in the area and there is an OS map of the area for your use in the cottage. We won't try and sell Cornwall to you: if you're looking to stay here, you already know how wonderful it is! However, there are all sorts of attractions in the area and information about them is available through Pendra Loweth reception or from the information package in the cottage: enjoy your stay. There is a bus service from the entrance to Pendra Loweth to Falmouth which runs about once an hour. The nearest railway station is on the Falmouth Branch Line at Penmere, a brisk 20 minute walk away, so if you're arriving by train we suggest a taxi! For younger travellers Driftwood Cottage has a small selection of toys and books to keep them entertained. Pendra Loweth also offers a children's play area and local footpaths offer the opportunity for safe adventures. The twin bedroom upstairs can be made up either as two separate twin beds or as a king size double. Please let us know on booking so the bed can be made up to meet your requirements. For stays in excess of seven nights, clean linen and towels will be provided for you to change the beds.
